We have had something like AI influencing the creation of music for a long time -- the hive mind. When a creator's motive shifts from pure creativity to getting listeners (or streams, or concert goers, etc.), then the output is the product of all of those varying influences. Our AI systems at present are kind of like a hive mind in that they are taught by our knowledge, language, etc.
Clearly, music has mathematical roots, and that offers a clear interface to AI systems.
Clearly, too, there is so much more to music than math. How is it that sounds can profoundly affect our emotion? AI can learn of emotion, but not Know emotion, making the human aspect of creativity quite distinguishable.
There will always be exceptional humans who are inspired, somehow, completely outside of the normal feedback loops that account for so much music, film, etc. No AI can create to the ability of exceptional humans, if only for the fact that AI is taught by what we already know.
That being said, I am not an AI naysayer; I just think we have much more human interaction still to come.

I think with AI and so on it will at first beginn to sort out a lot of the Mixing and Mastering things, so at first the artists remain and just use AI to make Music way easier. More people will be able to produce their own and for NI it will probably look quite good at first, cause many new people enter the realm of making Music. But I don't think it will hold on, depending on how fast AI will be we may see a lot of only made by AI music. I don't think that there won't be Music not made by AI, just less money in it. I think people still have fun maning Music and dealing with emotions that way or why ever. But when there are millions of potential new AI made tracks everyday (could happen maybe) then to get fame would be just about impossible (only with IRL things like Concerts and that stuff). I just hope that it won't like destroy Music, but gives it a good role up. We shall see

I believe that the evolution of music in the coming years will rest on 2 pillars:
1. human creativity and sensitivity
2. the possibilities offered by AI
Without humans, music created by AI is cold and mechanical, without surprise or novelty. By combining the best of both worlds, music can open up unexplored horizons.

I've bought five or more versions of Komplete including ultimate and collector's editions.
I've had unused "credits" for things that weren't worth putting in the package in the first place.
I deserve it.
AI (much discussed here) is to intelligence --as--
Artificial sweetener is to honey
Is there AI regression to the mean?

I think the people will want back to the roots and sample their own instruments. AI is simple and delivers ready compositions but I miss the soul...

I do think AI will impact us in a good way as a tool.
But to contrast against Robtos, as Human, we know how to get emotional. There will be always human creators of things like musics, films, pictures.

I think that in the future there will be a move towards a more hybrid live music environment between virtual and physical instrumentation. People recording the instruments they are less comfortable with in their DAW and playing a select number of their preferred instruments live. Using Native instruments for both the pre-recorded sounds and the live sounds.

Szerintem már most nem lehet különbséget tenni, hogy AI zene vagy nem.

It’s going on holiday - somewhere nice and quiet while it braces itself for the next generation of Ai-based super-computers. Meanwhile, after the first of these goes rogue and accidentally irradiates the village of (redacted - no that really is what it becomes known as), the most popular musical talent show is Z-factor, hosted by an Ai version of Zsa Zsa Gabor.

It will be interesting to see how the balance between AI and human ideas evolves. There will be extremes to both sides, but I hope over the next years we'll get to a good balance.

There will be AI.
And there will be the old way.
So I'm not afraid...

I agree with every one that AI based plugins and software will change the way we all create and enjoy music, but AI could never replace the creativity of our individual selves. New technologies will open new doors and simplify the entire process from MIDI-Input to mixing and mastering. AI can suggest what your music needs by analyzing reference tracks. It’s quite like learning how to drive an automatic e-car or conventional stick. A lot can be done for you but you really feel free in how the car drives if you shift the gears yourself.

Most people will be satisfied with AI generated playlists of constant genre/feel. I can imagine audio players/DAWS for individuals, djs, producers, movie composers etc with sliders to control different aspects of AI live-generated music. Live music will not die easily though, probably with minority but still.

Native will rewrite Kontakt and support higher res monitors and allow full-screen ❤️

first AI and after the hype dies, the man-made "underground" will be the cool thing again 🙌
