I predict AI will have huge impact on music production. The creativity will still be Human driven however, the process to create music will be AI driven. Just like the cellphones has become an extension of human life . . Music production will be heavily dependent on AI based tools/softwares to make decision for common men. Production's "special touch" may go away.. creativity/invention will be only card humans will have..

The music world is headed towards more inclusion and variety as artists are able to use the latest digital tools in their own home studios to create a wider range of music than ever before. It's a revolution in access to making, sharing, and growing the music community!

In the coming decade, the music world will follow several significant trends. It will be a period of continued growth in streaming, acceptance of technology and innovation, blurring of musical genre boundaries, and a stronger focus on fan engagement. Additionally, the development of the music industry will be increasingly intertwined with sustainable growth and social impact. These trends will shape the future of music, opening new possibilities for artists and creators, while also influencing audience interaction.

We will be able visually shape music in a AI / AR world where we can instruct and conduct virtual musicians to sculpt the music in real time as we imagine it.

I think AI will scare lots of people off even live electronic music, to be honest. There will hopefully be some innovative new way to use AI but keep it "humanized," otherwise music that isn't made with sticks, reeds and rocks is going to have the humanity squeezed out of it (more than it already is).
However, it may force people back into a more experimental mode which I wouldn't mind. AIs create using known algorithms, making music that sounds like absolutely nothing else is the only way to separate from that.

I think the human element will be lost with AI, and the more real music sounds, the more successful it will become.
There is already a trend back to grittier, less polished music and sounds. I love the NI and Izotope plugs for distortion and tube/delay/tape effects to get this old skool sound into my tracks.
Also, subtle changes to midi for tempo, timing make it more interesting.

I think music shifting towards more afro beat & house music.

I imagine the future like this: I tell my virtual assistant what kind of music I want to hear (mood, preferred scale, style, real songs/artists as an example, etc.) and then some A.I. creates a playlist mixed with A.I. songs and real songs, starting in a certain scale and then change songs and scale in a way that it supports your activity.
Artists can partner with the A.I. and manipulate it to their style so I can also choose an artist with his/her own A.I. style and create a playlist.
Something like that.

AI is neither a savior or a destroyer of music...Its a tool

Hoping to hear the death rattle of corporate record labels and see a grassroots explosion of self produced albums with artist reaping the benefits the labels have for decades. So much talent yet untapped because it doesn’t fit the radio airplay model.

Honestly, I’ve been pretty bored with the current and ongoing trend with pop and hiphop all having this trap wave. Looking forward to see where with the help of ai the music will be taken. The AI is still in the early steps, but boy oh boy it should be exciting in 10 years.

I definitely see more innovations in GUI/interfacing with a daw. Maybe some augmented reality saw workstation will come along. Not to mention mpe and ai taking center stage over the course of the next couple of years.

Having AI build beats, progressions or both might be a "thing", but that seems rather cold and "factory" like. If I wanted to follow a procedure (get AI to build chorus, get AI to build verse, get AI to generate a beat for each, get AI to author <and generate?> vocals) I might as well sell out completely and do overprocessed hip hop with a fake female vocalist/porn star kardashian wannabe. Nope, I MIGHT use AI when I hit a brick wall, but that would be for inspiration & study and not "product". Make sense?

Since everyone is focused on AI, Lets change gears,
- I believe personalized and Interactive Experiences: As technology improves, music experiences will become more personalized and interactive. Fans may have the ability to customize concert setlists, collaborate with artists on creative projects, or influence music releases through voting systems. Interactive music apps and games could provide unique ways for fans to engage with their favorite artists and songs.
- As well as Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Experiences: As technology advances, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) will offer immersive music experiences. Artists may perform live concerts in virtual spaces, allowing fans from around the world to participate. AR technologies might enhance live performances with interactive elements, virtual band members, or visual effects. These technologies have the potential to revolutionize the way we consume music and attend concerts.
- and last Genre Fusion and Experimentation: Genre boundaries in music are becoming increasingly blurred, and artists are incorporating elements from various styles and cultures. This trend will likely continue, resulting in further genre fusion and experimentation. Hybrid genres, such as trap-pop, indie R&B, and electronic folk, will continue to emerge as artists push the boundaries and create unique sonic landscapes.
