AI and robotics are going to change the world, including music. I hope that governmental, corporate and technology leaders will try to responsibly guide the development and implementation of AI. If done right, as jobs are transitioned to AI, we could evolve into a new economic model that could benefit society.

I see forward thinking creative musicians using even more of their surroundings and alternative instruments to create sounds that cannot be imitated by AI. Their work will stand above everyone who gives in to AI as an “easy” way to mimic the latest trends.

As many others are writing, AI Music will rule the next few years. After all, it's just getting started. But then - perhaps by the end of the next decade - it will change.

When everyone can easily produce more or less audible music, people will again look more at the real creative output of humans. Just as with AI-generated images, people will develop a sense of what comes out of a can or from AI, and what is based on human inspiration and ingenuity. At least I hope so ;-)

Music will continue to get less sonically diverse/ interesting, more saturated & cater to shortening attention spans.

I think there will be a place for AI in terms of sound design and composition support but I also think that people will want to hear traditional sounding instruments and live sound which is authentic and not necessarily synthesized. I think AI will be a useful tool helping a creative process but should not be placed entirely in the unique place of human creativity.

Ich denke das KI immer mehr und die Musik mit einbezogen wird.

Ich sehe das auch nicht wirklich als Nachteil, da dadurch das Spektrum der Musik erweitert werden könnte.

    stay tuned

Music will be dope as long as there are people willing to create and not do presets.

Music will still be here. AI or Handmade, analog or digital, classical , mainstream or avant-garde. Music will keep on giving. No matter what innovation will come. The spark of creativity will be needed. No Tool has build something without man (or woman or whatever you like to be categorised). NI keep on building the great tools we love and we will use them to enjoy ourselves with the music we love. And maybe someone will enjoy it likewise. Perhaps one day even AI- Joe will enjoy it.

10 Years is too much! We are now in a fast changing World, so 3-5 Years is a quote. The last years everthing goes digital and everyone works with DAWs on his computer! Analog is nice, but for me it looks like playing with LPs. So the Future at the Moment for me, will be Standalone Devices like Maschine+ or Ableton Push 3 Standalone, and i think this will continue….

I think as MPE becomes ubiquitous, electronic music may shift toward more touch-oriented, very "live" instrumental experiences that take synthesis to new realms of visceral sensitivity. AI will be able to produce convincing examples of popular genres and viral styles and voices, so serious listeners will be focused on the subtleties of what only humans can do. Just as profound sex does not come from new oscillation curves in vibrators, tech advancement only matters to the extent that it expands the range of responsive human creative experience.

I believe that music creation will become repetitive and saturated and then we will begin to slowly go back to making music organically. there is no way to escape AI's influence but how we utilize this technology will determine how far we progress creatively or how much we come to depend on AI powered production and recording tools.
