Battery 4.2.0 - suddenly, knobs/faders don't work

Hey franklyn,
As I wrote earlier in this thread, the issue comes from old Waves plug-ins, it also affected Maschine, this was fixed from their side in their latest Waveshell (V13). Are you using older Waves plug-ins ?

does anyone know how to revert back to a previous version? i’m having issues with 4.2.

I just installed Waves v13 and knobs work again. Kind of sucks I had to spend $240 to update Waves plugins I didn't intend on updating to make a Native Instruments product I already bought, work. But it is what it is.

ok, thanx for sharing
have you done an uninstall of V12 or do you install V13 over the existing?

The old Waveshell versions must be uninstalled / removed from the plug in folders / locations.

Ok, thank you Jeremy for the explanation. I deinstalled all Waves and installed V13 (some are also V12 like Studio Rack because there is no V13) and now Battery works fine again. This is so strange
But I am happy that it works, after a long installation day :)

Wow, I really had to give Waves money because THEY broke some non-waves plugins. ****** is even happening.
Updating Waves worked, but if I weren't in a time crunch I'd prob be retiring these plugins...

phasing them out hasn't been as hard as I thought.

I'm on Waves 13, but the issue seems to have started after updating to 4.2.0. Using the mouse scroll wheel as an interim solution
OS 11.6.1
Steinberg Nuendo 11.0.41

Did you remove all the old Waveshells from your plug-in folders ?

I had the same issue and after deinstalling the waves plugins the Battery 4.2.0 plugin in Logic worked fine again. But how on earth... 😫

So, Waves 12 and Battery 4.1.6 work together.
You updated Battery to 4.2 and now they don't work together, and it's Waves' fault?

Yes, I know that sounds strange and counter intuitive. It also affects Maschine. We're not blaming Waves here, it's just the way it is. There was a conflict between our plug-ins, they needed to fix something on their side, which they did in version 13. Feel free to contact their support.

I'm not sure if the insistence on it being a Waves issue is correct. I only have Waves V13 plugins installed. There are no earlier Waves shells present.
Battery was working absolutely fine, until I updated to the latest version of Battery an hour ago. Now I can't adjust any parameters with the mouse.
How do I roll back to an earlier version of Battery that worked properly?

Interesting, we didn't have any similar issues where Waves was not involved, would you mind if I would contact you by email asking for more of your system information ?
Also, I posted the installer for 4.1.6 in this very thread, p1.
