when update?

For anyone looking to jump ship on Battery, the closest per-feature and workflow replacement I've found is TAL-Drum. For me the most noticeable missing feature is the "vintage" options in the sound engine that replicate the two famous vintage drum machines, but:
1) When jumping off a sinking ship you can't be too picky, (as my main drum plug-in, this issue in Battery is literally stopping me from being able to work. I uninstalled Waves, which I was going to do anyways for reasons, but to then read this issues seems to be able to happen with any other random plugin developer like Kilohearts… it's time for me to do like NI has seemingly done and abandon Battery) and;
2) Maybe if enough users request the feature be added to TAL-Drum, something like it might be considered.

still got the problem. i wanted to downgarde battery again, since i had this issue on my older imac. the downgrade worked.
but now i am on m2macmini and have all updated now, but the mouse-bug is back. and i cannot open the battery-downgrade-ISO to go back with battery. so now i am stuck. i wont mess around with my waves-plugs, cuase finally the all work, with that stups versions they have….
so what to do??
for a brief time i will switch to drum designer too….0 -
Just wanted to report that the v15 of the Waves plugins seem to fix the issue (at least the part caused by Waves) inside Logic Pro.
I'm able to test this because only some of my Waves plugins are covered by the initial update plan and the rest our not, so they are still on v14.
I wasn't able to break Battery by adding any of the v15 plugins but as soon as I add a v14 plugin (even something as simple as the VU meter), Battery controls break immediately.
I decided to test this because Waves mention a fix for NI-related issue in their release notes for v15. The exact entry says:Fixed: Maschine and Komplete Kontrol knobs maintain stability and do not jitter when using the mouse in Logic while Waves plugins are active.
Apparently, it fixes Battery as well.1 -
Well ****** hallelujah sweet bejeezus you seem to be right,
updated just now to v15, and battery seems to be holding it together for now.
Lets hope this won't get broken again in waves v15.01 or something like that 😩
Also, if anyone can even vaguely shed some light on how something in Waves, can cause such a severe bug for years in a plugin from an entirely different company, I would appreciate that very much.

I'd like to know a bit more about this bug also, because on my system I can't always reproduce it.
Sometimes it's ok and I've got some old Waves plugins in my set, sometimes it's not and I don't have anything Waves in my set.
So how is it working (or better said, not working) ? And is it only linked with Waves plugins, or some other are also producing the issue ?
Also, would it be possible that it's fixed in some DAWs ? I remember I had this bug quite often on Live 11, and I don't remember having it since I upgraded to Live 12 - but maybe it's only because I don't use Battery 4 anymore because of all these issues… 😅

So, is there any consensus on which Waveshell versions are causing Battery issues? I could possible delete anything down to version 14 (13 would be better, don't feel like spending money on otherwise working plugins).
