    Your "up-to-date" info is 4 years old.... sorry, but no longer quite accurate... and pre M1.

    There will certainly be separation of OS specialization for devices, but a huge amount is now merging which opens up efficiencies in development.

    Nothing baseless going on here. The indicators are real and becoming more & more obvious.

    The "indicators" I have shared are generally first party...

    That's how this works... bits and pieces of real things that are happening that indicate a convergence.

    Your point is irrelevant... stat indicates a market demographic that spends money. Rather safe presumption that this demographic has similar proportion of people interested in music making as general population.

    If developing the software to implement what I wanted was easy, it would have been done already. Simple as that...

    Perfect reason to step back.... rethink.... then invest in a new infrastructure that offers easier development, faster implementation, and aims towards the demographic most likely to support the result.

    The investment by Francisco Partners and the teaming with iZotope isn't there to do more of the same.

    Izotope has desktop/laptop pro apps but look where they are aiming for target demographics…


    I’m not saying ditching the other revenue flow lines but related to AS adoption…

    Maschine Micro control over updated iMaschine app would be rad. Or integrate iOS as an external screen to M+ for naming and organizing files, visualizing automations...


    NI might not want a fully capable iOS version of Maschine to compete with M+. If given the choice between Micro+iPad vs. M+ I think allot will choose the former and that is $350 sale vs. $1500.

    Good thoughts on one variation of how things may unfold. And what might be attractive to NI in your scenario is ten $350 sales vs one $1500 sale. And those ten sales may also have ongoing subscriptions at various tiers.
