They probably skip 2.X version and jump straight to 3.0. Fimware was promised to be free update but still you need computer with 3.0 SW to open projects from M+ I bought update of course, prefer to have Maschine as standalone unit live but now - it depends how long take them to prepare update for M+. I need to have ready-play setup at beginning of year. 🤣

Skipping 2.x for M+ would mean breaking a promise, as this forces M+ users to upgrade their desktop software to version 3. Yeah, you could argue that the M+ can be used without desktop software, but i believe one of the big USP's of the M+ was that you could exchange projects between hardware and desktop. Plus some things are simply not possible on the hardware itself.

How is Stem separation treating you. Can't imagine how much longer a same task will take on the Maschine+ if it is even available at all.

That’s the reason why I’ve posted exactly that particular question into a separated topic / question. Not to start an entirely new discussion.

Still I would think it would help if some other customers repeat by replying to that question, too. I think it wil be difficult to rollback after 3.0 is released and doesn’t seem to be fixed or stable enough for your needs / workflow.

It has been more than a month that @Simon_NI dropped his last comment on the topic, and I think the Chief is the only one that’s allowed to publicly answer that particular question or at least calls the shot.

Really curious how stems will be performing on the M+. MPC standalone version sounds much worse than desktop version.

I don’t expect Stems to be ported to the M+. Insufficient RAM, insufficient CPU power. It’s a third party technology developed for modern desktop computers with massive CPU power, and not even an impressively good one. If it’s slower, or crashes, or is worse, users will hate it.
