It has to do with Apple Silicon and universal binaries, at least from what I understand. NI lay blame on developers for skipping steps on VST3 etc.
Random question for everyone here. I just started using Komplete Control with a SL88 MKII, the consolidated explanation I could find for how to instal etc. does not mention two installs. https://sites.google.com/view/nks-libraries/installation There's usually a plug in folder for instance in Sunborn's Thorn zip, and a developer folder. So a DS_Thorn and Plugin Alliance folder for both the dist_database and image locations. I've been installing them both, doesn't seem to harm anything, is this a Mac VS Windows OS thing, what's the reason for this?

Not sure if this is relevant. There was an issue a while back when the version available from Plugin Alliance was not M1 Native so my version of the v1.3 vst3 came direct from Dmitry.

That is a bit ridiculous... Dmitry has version 1.3.1 since January 2022 but a year later Plugin Alliance still use the version 1.3.0? ...what kind of "alliance" is this? 😋
Anyway, thanks to everyone who searched and found this!
UPDATE: Oh! ...same goes for Tantra! Dmitry's version is 2.0.1

We usually add them all, because of their tiny size i guess, but the truth is that (i think), one is for Komplete and the other is for Maschine, but i am not sure which is which.
But anyway, i see many cases that only the vendor folder is enough (in our case, the Plugin Alliance folder), at least for the Maschine. You will find a lot of good information in the old forum, many of them still apply.

I know it is now but ‘save’ used to be greyed out due to incompatible preset formats

btw there is also an updated version of Tantra 2 on Dmitri's site with a better GUI and I guess maybe also Apple Silicon support - anyway it works as that is the one I used for my NKS version posted earlier

Hi all!
Here is my own Dropbox NKS Library, which includes all the works i have done so far, alone or collaborating with other members, plus some indirectly relative material. Everything new will be uploaded in this folder, so keep the link if you want. I may add some legacy material or some stuff i found on the old forum long ago but their original links are dead and the uploader is not an active member anymore.
@Kymeia you are very welcome to download missing material and to add it to the major public folder as well, so all users can find what they need easily and without searching at 2 different places. Please do not ask every time.

A little bit of archaeology now, for the rare few that they might still use it, but, it's my oldest plugin and I'm emotionally connected with it (...and I still use it on some of my older unfinished tracks)...😊 I wanted to give it some last breaths of existence before the VST2 era is gone. Plus, i never found before any NKS for this ancient little gem! So, here it is. Factory presets, plus some other stuff, 539 presets in total:
