Maschine 3.0 does not show up in Access
When my N.I. Mikro MK3 arrived, I followed the directions per the card insert...and connected it to a Dell Latitude 3500. I also have a FLX4 Controller connected to the Dell 3500, but not at the same time as the Mikro MK3 is connected.
This MK3 to me, is complicated; it has me confused most of the time. But I was able to load Kits and play around with it every day. Then one day, while my FLX4 Controller was connected to my 3500...music just stopped. The motherboard burnt out.
While waiting for another laptop to arrive by mail, I connected my other laptop, a Dell 5490, to my Controller. The next day, I connected the MK3. The Kits and Groups weren't able to load. I tried, and troubled shooted through the help of A.I. So I disconnected, uninstalled all libraries, software with Revo Pro Uninstaller.
Here where these issues came in...
The laptop that I was waiting for is another Dell 5490. I download Native Access_2 from the website, entered the Serial...it says the serial is registered already. But Access did open up, and I checked; Access is online. So I started looking for Machine 3.0.0. It's not in Access I troubled shooted my butt off. Maschine does not show up in Access
How do I fix this? I have a ticket in already. I also have all 3 proofs that is required that I purchased this piece of equipment
Also... On N.I. website, the serial of the MK3 isn't listed. But all the free stuff I download is there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i wont comment on the native access issues you are experiencing….
but i will point out some other possible issues you may encounter, as time goes on
first off…
Laptops especially older laptops with the intel i7 or older versions i5,i3
these are not ideal for music setups, this is simply becos of the balance of power requirements & heat & performance… laptops always have the challenge of heat dissaption, becos of the confined space, couple that with pushing the cpu Load, and eventually the fans will need to kick in….
now add the problem with midi controllers, which will draw extra power from the USB ports, the heat issue begins to compound which will inevitably affect performance….
and going from your first hand experience of the motherboard burning out… should ring alarm bells
many people have good experiences with the apple silicon laptops… and the reason for this.. is the performance and efficiency of the apple silicons laptops are cooler running, but the issue with them is the limited ports, forcing you to buy usb hubs etc
if you want a hassle free pathway into music&maschine… get a m1 mac mini 16gb 1tb ssd, if you can find a used one for a good price… its the minimum standard in my view

I don't agree with 6xes comments about Windows laptops.
In my decades of using numerous Windows laptops and desktops, with all sorts of external equipment (MIDI controllers etc), both at home and live in front of an audience, I've never had a problem with heat, let alone something burning. USB devices draw extra power from Macs too…
@Idar77 how long have you had the Mikro? Did it come with Maschine 2 software?
You say you were loading kits and playing around, so presumably that was with Maschine 2.
Maschine 3 is a paid upgrade.

im sure back in the day… when maschine & dj software was alot simpler, there was less demand on the CPU's… i'd tend to agree with you
however
moving forward, and the ever increasing features being added in both arena's of DJ software & maschine… having a higher ceiling for growth&movement is always a sensible decision
i've been down the Windows path with a decent i7 tower which was more than capable of VR … but struggled with multiple instances of maschine… at which point the m1's came on the scene… and what a difference it makes… alot more possible scenarios for directional shifts in music creation!
coming back to VR… heres what i was messing with on my i7 computer

I have a laptop here (purchased 2021) that I use for streaming every weekend, running Resolume with hundreds of random video loops, generated graphics, a live camera feed with chromakey, loads of visual effects, audio reactive stuff, controlled from a Novation Launchpad - feeding that via Spout into my DJ software on the same machine playing music from the internal SSD and from a subscription service, using live on-the-fly stem separation, triggering audio and video samples, overlays and effects using another controller (Pioneer) whilst streaming out live directly to Twitch (no OBS required).
Guess what? No problem. I've even had comments from Mac users surprised that I run everything on a single machine with no issues…

without taking anything away from the capabilities of the laptop you possess…
the OP has a much lower speccd laptop… going by the reference of the Dell 5490 that is being replaced with what would be the same model…
and lets say the model was the highest spec cpu for the Dell 5490.. which happens to be the i7-8650u which is a energy efficient model.. which is to say, its not built for performance
so when i made comment about, possible issues down the line… this was taking into account the current CPU the OP has assuming its the top end version of the Dell 5490
now my position, was to provide some friendly advice… based on the current state of DJsoftware & Maschine software… they are increasingly becoming demanding on the CPU..
one need only think of RT stems in DJsoftware(think Dj pro) or preparing stems without a decent GPU onboard
eventually things will hit a brickwall… i know i did and that was with a 4770k in the clip with the VR

"provide some friendly advice"
Maybe that was the intention, but (IMO) your message read like "Don't use a PC because they overheat, buy a Mac and all your problems will be solved".
After I commented, your next post also implied that Macs were the solution.
Why not just suggest upgrading to a more powerful PC? If he's used to Windows and has all Windows s/w then changing to a Mac will be a pain in the rear.
Besides, the issue is that he doesn't have access to Maschine 3……..

you have a point PK The Dj….i shouldve directed him into the minefield of the PC world…
moving on
