You got to look at my theoretical s6 render that I posted a month back on this forum. I think I visualised most of what you're asking.

But I find most consumers probably settle with less than more features. Else you'd be getting into ddj rxz territory. Anecdotally, I've moved to 2 channel vinyl dvs from having a mapped maschine jam, x1 mk2, and s4 mk3 with a screen hack. Weirdly enough it made me like the s4 mk3 more. Now my only wish is that it had native song browsing through the screens.

There are some cool looking features there for sure! Dig the larger jog wheels (motorized is a must-keep feature), I like EQ kills (forgot to include that feature in my post), the digital display looks dope, and many other things about the layout and features, and current NI design language. You have super impressive renderings and some really awesome ideas, so props! I'm a little unclear about the move/loop section of the S4 ( controlling beat loop size/position/move forward/back and with a digital display)... Honestly the S4's move/loop section, of all the generations of the S4 controllers (I've had MK1/2/3) is the sole reason I have stuck with Traktor, so I'm a stickler for keeping that on the controller no matter what. No Pioneer or other controller can compete with it. Push-button rotary encoders for loop size/position activated on/off by pushing them is my #1 requirement in a controller.. and a product I have thought about crowd sourcing/making as a stand-alone controller to use with Rekordbox/Serato/etc... if (god forbid) NI ever moves away from it. Your concept rendering has available space for some of the other features I mentioned, especially towards the top of it (waveform zoom adjust, BPM x2 and x1/2, key lock on/off, etc). Looks like the right size controller for what I am envisioning as well.

Another software feature I would like is the option to save multiple different FX banks settings as presets, and store them similarly to how you save track playlists. Picture playing around with FX, you come up with a really cool combo of FX, but either save it as the default or risk forgetting what you created if you want to play around and experiment more with the FX... there should be an option to save those settings for a later date. Using up to all 4 FX banks, be able to save a "snap-shot", which gets saved under a "user FX banks presets" folder... The ability to save multiple different settings would be key.. This idea is based upon an older article on djtechtools (.com) I came across.. it won't let me post the link, but it's titled "FX Snapshot: The Traktor FeatureYou've Never Heard Of".

This can be bone with mapping commands (creating different presets with modifiers and then calling specific parameter values via the mapping commands)

A new S4 MK4:

bigger Displays
More Pad Mods: 2x Pad-FX Mode, Loop Roll/Beatjump Mode, Freeze Mode switchable to 2nd level
Pitch bend buttons
Access to all 8 Mixer-FX without switching in the software, perhaps via Shift
Adjustable stop time for the jog wheels

Fexible Beatgrids
Realtime Stems
Soundswitch Lighting Integration

X1 MK3 cannot use headphones solo or mute with other sound cards. Am I the only one confused like this?

No, the X1 works as intended. It has no audio interface and is just a controller. Like a keyboard.

For CUE to work your soundcard needs a dedicated channels for the headphones that are not the same as master. So 4 channels in total. Any audio interface that can do that work with Traktor. And thus also with the x1.
