Anybody know if the new Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 is coming to TP3?

Guys, midi mapping is pretty straightforward as long as you don't use complex modifiers. Just give it a try yourself, you will be amazed..

That's true, but also, Pioneer hardware has modifiers built in to the firmware, no need for adding a single modifier.

A) This is the crux of the problem.

My ddj-1000 map is gigantic. It has hundreds of modifiers.

Modifiers are like programming language variables. They are used to e.g. make physical buttons do different things.

I needed so many modifiers that I had to migrate to BOME just to get more modifiers.

B) I only own (and use) the DDJ-1000 and DDJ-SZ device. I dont have the FLX10.

Testing such a complex mapping is crucial to have the device itself.

C) My map supports both the ddj-1000 family and the ddj-sz family. They are very different. This is done via translating messages and even more variables.

To add FLX10 it would only make sense to me to carry the map forward and support the FLX family as well. Which means more modifiers.

D: the documentation has hundreds of pages that would need updating and merging as well

I think at the first step: important would be to fix in the current DDJ1000 mapping:

• Sampler
• FX Section

@dj_estrela when do you think you could have time?

Who else can support here to create a mapping?

I´m pretty surprised about this support here in general: many user asking for a solution for this controller (Forum, YouTube Videos, Facebook, Instagram...) to still can use Traktor Pro with FLX10. I agree it´s one of the best controller current on the market (as it was the DDJ1000).

I can speak for myself: I´m working with Traktor Pro since 15 years and I was thinking there will be a MIDI mapping also for Traktor Pro for this controller. I don´t want to migrate to Recordbox or Serato - I love Traktor - but if there will be no support soon (from NI or the community) we will have no other chance. Very sad at at all.

I fully agree to @rider.

Many users already asking for a mapping for Traktor Pro and Pioneer FLX10, because they would like to still use also in future Traktor Pro as DJ Software!

I bought a FLX10 because it´s in my opinion the best DJ Controller at the market and DDJ1000 is also supported with Traktor. Therefore I did not think about it that this support / midi mapping will be so a huge challenge to still stay and use Traktor Pro.

I see the point from @rider: if there will be no solution soon for a MIDI Mapping with Traktor, those users has no other chance to migrate to Rekordbox or Serato, and Traktor / NI / Traktor community will loose the next users forever from this DJ Software.

Is there nobody else who has the knowledge to create such mapping?

Hello everyone, I got a FLX10 unit through a co-worker, and I'm going to do the mapping for Traktor Pro, it's going to take a while because I don't have much free time either, but once I receive it I think I could have it ready in 2/3 weeks. When the mapping is finished I will upload it to prodjmaps.com

I anticipate that the screens will not work, the configuration will be 100% "Control manager", without BOME. The mapping will be a replica, as exact as possible, of the native configuration of the FLX10, within the compatibility of the two softwares.

I'm waiting for them to notify me to go pick up the controller.

I suggest you use that as a reference

It is still quite large because it contains the jogFX and padFX, however
