The fixed library for Xpand is updated.

May not be a simple fix for Hybrid. I just did a pass with new sound previews and 1 out of 10 samples just play distorted high pitch static. It's an issue I find more and more using VST3 within Maschine, not sure if it's a Maschine issue or VST but it happens quite often so I think for the moment i'll just not bother to update the sound previews.

I totally agree. I meant to say "I cant see it making any difference." Doesn't seem worth the effort at all. :)

Anyone know what the state is these days of Komplete Kontrol 3? I saw that it is now up to version 3.4 and the list of changes made me hopeful that perhaps this is friendlier toward third-party NKS libraries, etc.

There are some nice fixes such as Softube plugins working again but still things like support for sub banks are missing

things work fine from feedback I’ve had, just some plugins were not stable in KK at all. As mentioned, sub banks still an issue and the topic on the change in browser layout is still a divide. It works, how efficiently is up for debate.

I rolled back to v3.3.4 as v3.4. Arturia V-Collection disappeared from the browser post-update. Pigments worked, FX Collection and Augmented Mallets: all independent authorizations from V-Collection. Spent more than enough time un-installing and re-installing V-Collection - threw in the towel. All works as it did previously on v3.3.4. Will wait until the next update from v3.4.

Ahhh… well I'm still hanging back on KK 2.9.6. I have a Mk 2 keyboard anyway. If it's not broken, don't fix it, right? That said, the ONE thing I sort of covet about the Mk3 keyboards is the ability to work directly with Kontakt. I might be using it more that way than through KK. However, seems like the Mk3 keyboards haven't been out long enough for them to start going on sale.

Yeah the biggest major letdown with the MK3 keyboards is the KK software. Even Maschine has a better browser but the browsing in the V3 software of KK is terrible at best and a mess, it improves absolutely nothing and breaks or messes up what was actually good in the software, it's a joke!

Yeah, I'm not going to purchase a whole new keyboard just to get the ribbon controller above the mod wheel.

Yeah… to re-iterate the only thing I like about it is that it has the ability to interact with Kontakt directly. A lot of times that's all I would want. The idea of having to open Kontakt INSIDE of Komplete Kontrol just to get light guide functionality seems silly, but I know NI says that adding this capability to the Mk2 keyboards via software isn't possible. I scored my S88 Mk2 for only $420 or so as a factory refurb directly from NI when they started dumping them.

It is a shame that NI so fubar-ed KK v.3 and the S-series Mk 3 keyboards the way they did. I actually had a friend of mine call me from his studio. His brother was over there and had just bought a brand new Mk3 keyboard and was trying to get things to work. His brother isn't the most technical guy, and I believe he just gave up on it and returned it.

    Brutal.

Anyhoo, it seems the Factory Hack where you can put the 3rd party NKS in the factory menu with everything else isn't working anymore? My presets disappeared. Any way to get them back running as they were? I can't find the Jester article on the new site.

Sorry If I am being a bit thick, but what is the advantage of using this method as opposed to locating them in the user folder? Is it just so you don’t have to switch libraries in the app?
