NKS 2.0 - a running list of compatible content

Having Kontakt Factory Library 2 all good-to-go with NKS2 is nice.
The redundancy of many presets in Kontakt Factory Library 2 with presets in Retro Machine Mk2 and Vintage Organs made me feel ok with uninstalling these older products.
And the uninstall feature in Native Access 2 made this super easy.
Sometimes less is more!

I guess you need to add Plogue chipsynth C64 on there. (also need to update all our older products to NKS 2.0)

Are the UVI products just offered in a NKS bundle deal by NI NKS 2 prepared?

How did I miss NA2?? Thanks for the tip - already removing unused libraries! Thanks!

As of now, they are NKS 1

Thanks for that info. on UVI.. Definitely cools my interest in that package.
I did just confirm from that the new Desolate Guitars from E-instruments is NKS 2.0 compatible.
Looks & sounds wonderful!

I have the latest versions of some of these but the only NKS I have are those I have made, and those by Jason (Freelance). So is this in a version not released yet? (in which case how are people in the sale getting hold of this but not existing UVI customers?)

Everything listed here is now officially NKS 1 compatible.
The list currently includes the following UVI products: Augmented Orchestra, Emulation II+, FM Suite, IRCAM Prepared Piano 2, Meteor, Nagoya Harp, Quadra, Shade, Synth Anthology 4, Whoosh, 8-bit Synth.
Note that there may be continued improvements to the NKS 1 implementation, and the addition of NKS 2 support at a later date.
To get the current NKS 1 versions, please install the latest installers, including the NKS Installer offered in the UVI portal application.

I have several of those but I have UVI Portal open right now and can't see an update or NKS installer, maybe they will release them soon?

They are already released, so I'd suggest reaching out to them perhaps? See example screenshot below.

Ah no wonder I didn't see them, they are rather hidden away (I even did a search), got them now thanks
Hoping they will expand NKS to their entire range, this is a great start, some of us have been having to make our own as they were very much needed

Indeed. They're a fantastic company, with some fantastic products.

For anyone installing these note that the instruments seem to require the free UVI Workstation and won't load if you are using the Falcon for them

I've already had emails from people saying the implementation is very basic, lacks tagging, lacks detailed controller maps and wanted to know if they can put my files in place. I've said no idea, cant offer support on that and have not tested the official NKS, I would guess so but this now places all my UVI work on indefinite hold since I won't waste time adding support for something that has support now and i've been begged not to remove support by blind users who usually need more than what is officially implemented but not something I can spend time on now so hopefully they invest time and improve things.
Will be interesting if they improve on it and spend the time needed to make it usable, I have doubts just based on many other companies seeming to only do the basics when it comes to mapping and tagging and UVI has no internal tagging to pull from in their libraries, just the basic categories, all tagging I did was by hand and I doubt they will pay someone to spend months doing that.
Anyway, that ends my support for UVI at this point unless I have people really asking for it.

I certainly share your desire for improvement come the next round of UVI NKS mapping, which I'm told is coming. Also - would you like me to put you in touch with UVI? Perhaps there's a collaboration to be had.
