Output still sells both perpetual and subscriptions for different products - their model is not subscription only. But they seem to currently focus more on subscription (which I wont pay for). My hope they manage their entire portfolio better. Heavyocity too.

Spitfire samples sure are popular but not perfect selling libraries with different sample players - at the same time moving away from Kontakt may not be bad with the current mess with lack of UI migration. My loyalty for NKS libraries is fading fast.

I haven't bought the new updated Spitfire SSO but I am looking into it - one thing it still lacks is auto divisi for strings. The NI strings has auto divisi but weak in other areas (wonder when we may see an update to compete with Spitfire again).

    This is super useful.

It would also be immensely helpful if NI also detailed which NEW products (NI’s or third parties’) DO NOT work with NSK 1 and the S1 generation of keyboards.

I really don’t want to be purchasing software that doesn’t work on the hardware I was sold. And there is no way to make Komplete Kontrol 2 and 3 play nicely together within a DAW environment. Irrespective of naming, the Komplete Kontrol 3 plug in will be the only one that runs. So even if you want to run the two side by side, you won’t be able to.

I would also like to add, I love how Ocean Swift has already updated Porphyra to take advantage of Konakt 8 specific enhancements, such as tools based presets. That's exactly the kind of parter that helps NI stand out.

Is the list in the first post still being maintained? It hasn't been updated for nearly 6 months.

Not really - at this point every new product for Kontakt is both NKS1 and NKS2 compatible, and it's been this way for a year, so this became inefficient to maintain and update. I may actually remove this thread?

If it's not manageable anymore, then fair enough; however I think it would still be interesting to keep track of the products that are NOT new, but now have official NKS2 support. I'm still waiting for the official quality-approved NKS2 implementation for all of Arturia's plugins for example - is there an ETA? Among other aspects, this will influence when or whether I will ever consider trying a Kontrol MK3 keyboard again after having sent the first one back for hardware quality reasons.

Also, are there any NKS2 plans for Plugin Alliance?

    Thank you and best wishes.
