This may not be the right thread, but it’s closely related, I believe. I’m a new Kontrol S61 mk3 owner and would like to know:

When will NI open up Direct Connection to third party plugins (so we can break free of the Komplete Kontrol shell)? And could you make a running list of compatible plugins when/if that happens?

I just got Arturia v collection and almost all of the synths (bar maybe 3) seem to be displaying and seem mapped out on the mk3 keyboard screen with tabs, which is great. They all seem to display in a similar way to the CS80 - have these also been updated or am I missing something (I am new to both synths and NI).

I was just wondering, some presets are missing. Is there a way to add additional sound bank presets acquired through Arturia so they show up on the keyboard when browsing? (sorry if wrong place)

Unfortunately Arturia don’t provide NKS presets for their addon banks, unlike u-he. Wish they would. You can of course make them yourself.

Thanks for your reply. Can I open the plugin with the preset in a midi channel with the kk plugin in the same channel then save the preset on the keyboard? I am thinking could be more complicated

No it’s easiest to save patches in the Komplete Kontrol standalone. Just load them in the plugin browser but save them using the Komplete Kontrol file menu

before you do though make sure you have open the plugin from the Komplete Kontrol browser so it is mapped to the KK knobs, then every preset you save in KK will have the same mapping

Thanks for the info - a lot of them look great anyhow. Would it be better to wait to save additional presets on those plugins until they're updated (I have been saving them the way that Kymeia suggested which is working great but pretty time consuming)
