Now it happened to me as well! Wanted to edit a typo, the editor popped up empty and aftrer pressing "cancel"... poof, my message vanished. Evaporated. Gone for good. ******.
BTW, this happened when using the most current Chrome on Windows 10.

We'll change the DM settings if it becomes an issue but again we feel 3 posts is pretty reasonable. We can get dozens of DMs a day for things that are literally discussed in threads already and it prevents us to engage with everyone. We can create a pre-moderated section but I'm really not sure what type of questions should be discussed in private right at the start.

There's something weird happening with our moderation add-on. There was no reason for your post to go into moderation. We're on it and I'm gonna tweak a few things now to prevent this to happen.

Is there a way to change back to the forum? I can't navigate this; it isn't really a forum, it's much more messy.

I'll keep an eye on these questions but you need to be logged in to send a DM anyway so that wouldn't be a solution. Like I said, we received no DM for account related topics on the old forum but many for things belonging on the community itself.

But is there a way to change the view on this new community so that it's more like a traditional forum? Just so things are neater and cleaner.

I'm afraid there isn't a way to make it look more like the old forum. The problem is that everyone's understanding of neater / cleaner is different. We'll get more options for you to customize your experience a bit more soon. In the meantime, you can already start by following categories and display only what you want to see one the homepage if you need.

Suggestion for Administrators/Moderators coming from my own (less fortunate) experience:
Try to use the forum on your iPhone (or other mobile device) solely for a day or two. It's much less accessible and enjoyable than on a desktop (IMO). I only see that now I'm using it on a computer with a big screen. Surprisingly, the old forum was somehow nicer to use on mobile.

We also noticed that right before the weekend. We've informed our provider about the delay and hopefully it can get sorted quite quickly.

Something went wrong with the auto-moderation. It should absolutely not happen after submitting an edit. I've added a permission to bypass the whole thing when you have more than 3 posts so hopefully that'll do it. We'll monitor this closely.

Only on the first day there was a limit of 10 minutes (a pop up occurs) to edit a post.

We changed that so editing post should be possible now across the board.
