It says the screens don't work, so why would anyone pay for it.

I bought it and it works. Now at least, I can use it with Traktor.
If you have Traktor, what do you need the screens for? You use the SC6000 as an LC6000.
If I want to take advantage of the SC6000 screen, I don't use Traktor.

Not great for the crowd if your head is fixated on a laptop screen, rather than checking the screen on a CDJ.
That's one of the biggest advantages of HID mode. Set your laptop off to the side and be more at one with your audience.

Many of the best DJs in the world use both interfaces. I don't think that focusing on HID mode alone is the best way to open your mind to new ways of digging...

My argument is the "creation" of new ways of live performance.
I don't think it's good to focus only on one interface, you have to expand to other modes, and those modes are provided to you by a PC (or MAC). For example TRAKTOR, Ableton Live... etc.
