If you're hoping Maschine will turn into a full DAW, I can share that that's not in the cards. Maschine has always been more of a creative sketchpad, designed to complement your workflow rather than replace a full DAW. It's all about helping you capture ideas quickly and boost your creativity, but it's not meant to handle every part of production from start to finish.

General MIDI Editing Workflow Suggestion:
Stretch MIDI selection. For those of us who like to record without a metronome.Command+Click in empty space to zoom out in piano roll.

I think this cannot be stressed enough in order to counter expectations from some users… The focus for Maschine development IMO should be on improving idea generation and how to capture and transfer these ideas to a DAW for finishing.

It's mainly the sampler for me. Real time time stretching similar to how it works in serato. I really hate having to load a 3rd party sampler, I'd much rather use the stock one. Throw a tuner in there while you're at it for oneshots

sample tail similar to what the mpc has
sample layering on the pad with different modes(cycle etc)
A link group feature would also be dope. For example if I make more than 16 chops in slice mode and want to send them to a group they automatically go to the next group respecting choke groups etc

Have yall tried modalics plugin buddy for midi routing? Works like blue cats and it's free

You could use a single sound for up to 128 chops in the sampler by mapping stuff into zones. This way, you can fit up to 2048 chops into a single group ;) If you set each sampler to have a polyphony of 1, and assign each into the same choke group, all 2048 chops should then cut each other off

Light/Dark mode switch in preferences. ;-) and auto sync mode with system theme. 😎

It seems many users expected a lot more than what 3.0 is offering right now.
Also, the referenced ideas section was somehow hard to find, hard to understand and was closed way too early. Users obviously have the urge to express themselves, wherever they get the impression NI could be listening.
This might be an indication on how well the current feedback channels are understood, accepted and perceived as functional.

It would be cool to be able to step/event edit any automation on Maschine Plus (standalone). Turning the knobs works to some extent, but if you want to control say have a synth Filter closed on step 1 and open on next step etc. Just working out a standalone setup to control all my synths, M+ is so good for this..

Maybe I misunderstand, but this already exists (assuming you have a macro for your external hardware setup). Go into the step sequencer, hold a pad for the step you want to edit and change a value to whatever you want.

Yeah I have made macros, but I can't see them as an option when holding a pad.

Aside from Midi FX routing being my number one request. Would it be possible to add the ability to automate Chord Position?
