The UI is still low res in 2024? Pass.

Hello, do you know how many computers the Traktor Pro 4 update can be activated on? My Traktor Pro 3 license is linked to Traktor S4 mk3 and I have it installed on two computers.

Hey Native Instruments,
as a Traktor Pro Plus user who hasn't had any advantages for the price of 4.99 for months, I'm really very annoyed about the price of the upgrade to Traktor Pro 4!
We - the Pro Plus users financed all this ****** and now have to pay the same price for Pro 4 (with all the PLUS THINGS IN IT) as all other Pro 3 users.
...we've paid those almost 80 € more than once. You should give us the upgrade for free, anything else is really very outrageous!5 -
You simply shouldn't compare apples with oranges.

What I'm comparing is the belief that they are entitled to something free or at reduced cost because they rented it in the past. Doesn't matter if it's an apple, an orange, software or a car.

This really baffles me. Sure, it's fairly cosmetic - but it is important. It makes the software feel clunky and dated, regardless of what is going on under the hood. It gives the impression that NI is behind the curve and stuck in the past. And so many DJs are using Macbooks with Retina screens.

Congratulations! Buy the software again...I waited almost 1 year for the fixes, I fell off a lot of gigs, now I have to pay again?
Well done.. good luck.😒0 -
Are you confusing me with someone else? I just said that you're forgetting the F1. It's still available to buy and works wonderfully with stems.
I didn't say anything about the file size, I just pointed out that the entry doesn't appear twice in the collection, but that the files are linked in the background. Even with an entry in the collection, we can always choose whether we want to load a Track Deck or a Stem Deck with it.
I don't care about the size of the stems generated. I use lossless files whenever possible, so I'm already used to this big file size. There is also the option of outsourcing the storage location for the generated .mp4 (stems). So you can also create the additional space with an external SSD if you need it.

good catch! was discussing these behaviors with a few other users before and we have no clue how to solve this problem. in the promo video I can see perfect bar markers overall. even after tempo changes. maybe we missing something in the preferences?

I purchased that update because I didnt had Pro Plus before so im okay with that update price.
But I understand everyone who paid for Pro Plus or the new X1 MK3 that they are pissed. NI should definetly let that guys acces TP4 for free.

Thanks for the answer @OliverGross, could you send me the a screenshot of the whole post that explain how all this works please ? I'm very curious, thanks in advance.

Thank you NI!
You just got my trust back with such a great update!
Not only you discontinued this subscription nensense, you fixed the most annoying flickering issue and finally implemented stem seperation!
This is a great update and i am really looking forward to use Traktor4.
With kind regards and graditute,

Hi @Gundz,
I can send you a detailed explanation for the new beatgrids by Friedemann that we got. My answer for you was specific for your question, that in such cases you didn't get plain values like 128.000 and that's because of the tempo zone you defined.
Here is the explanation how the FlexiGrids are working in general:
"Traktor FlexiGrids in their current version allow to define multiple zones with steady tempo between two grid markers. It is not making tempo a transition from tempo 1 to tempo 2 by itself.
So tempo transitions must be realized via multiple grid markers - usually one per bar is enough in areas of strongly fluctuating tempo.
In contrast to the old, steady BPM beat grids, which reset the beat-phase at each new grid marker (keeping the tempo steady throughout the track, FlexiGrids disallow phase skips, by prescribing the tempo between two grid markers to ensure an integer number of beats between two manually set gridmarkers.
This fundamentally changes the way of setting grids away from typing or tapping BPM towards manually setting grid markers and let Traktor calculate the BPM between two markers.
You can correct Traktor's BPM assumption by typing in a ballpark BPM, which Traktor will round to the next allowed value."Hope this clarifies it more for you. It's really a clever way to grid such tracks and get a tight syncing overall.

Is it important, though? I'm using Traktor on an M1 Mac Air, UI is perfectly fine. I'm not looking at the screen anyway when 'm mixing because I\m using the S8 and D2s. And that's the setup you wanna get to, in my opinion. Closing the lid of the laptop is such a vibe
