With Jester's very kind assistance my Voxworks bank for Omnisphere is converted to work with the VST3 version - complete bundle including Omnisphere patches here:

ps afaik this was the first third party bank made for Omnisphere (and it shows, but I still find a place for them)

Yep - same database structure, so you can copy one to the other, and it works without issue. Saves setting up user library directories, for sure.

Made some NKS of the Vanguard 2 factory bank. Only categorized presets included (please beware that tagging is loose / not entirely accurate).

i am also working on this beast right now! ...hopefully i will manage to transfer all the legendary material from the old Vanguard

Sorry guys, I don't know if this has already been answered somewhere, but here is my question:
if i have NKS for a VST3 Third Party Plugin, is there any way to convert them to their VST2 version?

I don't know why anyone would do such thing, since we are struggling for the opposite, but it might be possible, ONLY for the plugins that support migration. Check here which ones they are:
Still, you have to experiment by yourself, since i don't know if anyone tried this thing before

Unfortunately this will be a hard task, since Vanguard seems that does not support VST3 migration.
I just tested it. I created very easy all the Factory presets but sadly they don't work with VST3 version. So, for now, your work is most welcome. 🙂
Another thing is that, at least Maschine, does not recognize Vanguard NKS directory (for Windows is in Public Documents), so you have to add the location manually to your User Library.

Another very strange (yet extremely useful sometimes) thing that i noticed is that Vanguard created automatically NKS .previews (.ogg) for all my old Vanguard imported stuff (but no NKS files)!
The strange thing is that only those from the imported banks are really working. All the rest (everything that imported as a preset), it has no sound, though it is there and occupy space (566 MB in my case). Yet the .ogg files are not empty, they do have sound, as i checked with a media player.

Thank you for the response. I'm still on Maschine 2.15 as i've read that in Maschine 2.16 VST2 won't load and i don't want to lose all vst2 nks that i have or not being able to use those plugins which don't have vst3 format. That's why I asked.

Where did you read this? This is very-very wrong!
Maschine 2.16 loads perfectly VST2 plugins. You should read the official NI status and the forums here, not any "random" website mate.

dear @astavi thanks for your work again, however the way you created them is very different than the structure of the Presets folders, and also, as you renamed them, their previews do not work!
I renamed them correctly (to save you all from the trouble) and to actually match the .ogg previews and the preset folder names. I also created and included the Vanguard NI resources (and the .ogg previews, just in case, though this is really unnecessary, since Vanguard creates them automatically) 🙏
Note: It is always best to keep the original structure, if you plan to share your works. Cheers!

I tend to match the source material rather than other conventions. This is what I've seen done elsewhere and I prefer it that way - don't mind the edit either though, thanks.

Looks great - thanks for doing this, it's a lot of work. As you know I'm not a fan of adding lots of new tags (especially when they are just variations on existing tags like 'Pads' instead of the existing 'Synth Pads') but I think a MPE character tag is a good idea.

Just managed to DL these presets and they work great. Would love to know if anybody has made a universal macro map for these, which would be the icing on the cake. Previews all there too so that's a bonus too. Thank you.
