If you don't use the mixer overlay, there is a setting (Preferences→X1Mk3 pane) you can adjust to take it out of the cycle. Check the customization section on page 1 for details (link is also in my signature).
I plan to have the stem controls mirror the deck controls, so when you switch from AB to CD the stem controls will also switch. I will have to work out the kinks with this one (as well as the normal mixer overlay) because right now when switching decks, the GUI controls jump to the hardware position of the knobs, disregarding the soft takeover function. I know it's doable, just a matter of getting the code right.

Possible? yes of course. Preferable? I first have to get the soft-takeover code right for the Mixer (and stems). If and when that is completed, i can place a custom setting in the code so every user can have it or leave it.
I think i have to expand the setup overlay. Only the encoders and FX arrows currently have any function for setup, so i can use the FX knobs and buttons to let the user customize the functions during startup.
Ha, this proves that talking to other people about it spawns cool projects. 😋

Ok, I've just tested every operation, firstly thanks again, this is awesome, so intuitive!.
I don't use the mixer functions, but tested most of them and all appear to work as intended, the only functions I didn't notice do anything or misunderstood were the following.
"Left or Right Browse (Hold 1 second): Load Secondary (only for TP 4) and Unload Preview Player (Push)." - appears to do nothing different to TAP?
"Left Loop Encoder: Navigate Tree (1 step at a time) and Open/Close Node (Push)." Appears to do nothing
might be operator error though.
I was also able to delete some of my MODs for sync on Decks C/D and LED out functions as you've already done it.
Very impressed, if you're able to (I'm sure you or are) improve my STEM controls that would be perfect!!

Load secondary is when you have stems generated by Traktor for the track. TAP will load one, HOLD will load the other (depending on your LOAD settings). So, you will only see a difference with Traktor generated (and linked) stem tracks.

You have to be in browser mode (tap SHIFT to enter and to leave browser mode).

I use NuoStems, so that explains it with the first one I think, my plan is to remove all tracks other than STEM versions anyway.
Open/Close Node (Push) this is what I got confused with on the second, I have playlists mostly, but I now see it will open folders in the browser pane.
I suspect I'm missing out on a few features of Traktor as its new to me coming form Rekordbox, especially in browser mode, the loading of tracks and how the software handles it appears to be much better than RB and having folders is useful too.
All sorted now, you've cleared everything up and the mod is fantastic, I think what you've done so far works very very well, if you do manage to get stems working better than I have, then I can't wait to test it out!

Well, you will probably have to wait a bit. Although i already have a strategy to proceed, it'll be hit and miss with a few things i haven't tried before. And i don't have a compiler with decent feedback so all i get is either Traktor crashes or it works. ^^ I'll post the first working version without screen support as soon as it's ready. -_Mando_-, right? I'll send you a message at reddit when i have something to show.

Yeah that's me. Honestly, there's no rush, what I have is working for now and with your mod it's so much better than stock. More than happy to carry out any testing when required.

UPDATE: PerformanceMod 3 for TP 4.1.1 (BETA)
In preparation for the stems overlay, i changed the following things:
- I fixed the softtakeover bug of the Mixer controls that occur when switching decks from AB to CD and all the other combinations.
- When switching decks, the FX unit selection also switches
- As a consequence i removed the short setup blinking when switching decks and also connected the deck and fx selection in setup when using 4 FX units and added fall-through defaults for 2 FX unit use.
The stems overlay, when implemented, will be accessed by SHIFT+(some button) while in mixer overlay and, while active, replace the mixer overlay completely until toggled back.
More to come.
If you have the time, please test the setup functions and the deck switch and fx overlay switch. Please also test, if the mixer control softtakeover functions work when switching decks (this is the most important part).
Note: I removed the very last deck/FX config: A.C/1.3. The remaining configs are A.B/1.2, C.D/3.4, C.A/3.1 and B.D/2.4, which can all be mirrored exactly (A.C/1.3 cannot be mirrored exactly).

@sulherokhh will the stems overlay be added to the minimal mod, willing to test as you need on the minaml mod versions if they are implemented to that mod.

No. The minimal mod will stay the way it is, as it would just be as much work to update and maintain as the PerformanceMod. The files i would have to adjust (different for both mods) would start to be the same and i would just get too confused, which is already a problem. Plus i never intended to add screen support for the minimal mod, which would be a necessity for the stems and it would have to be different code for both mods.
I would ask you to try out the full mod. I know the browser mode makes it a bit different but maybe you will like the idea of a dedicated MOVE encoder when not in browser mode(?).

Today I looked at the code of TP4 X1 for the first time.
The “Soft Takeover” feature is really great, is this new?🙂
I'll test this feature with the S3 tonight and see if I can implement it for the FX control in the S3Mod too.
I'm now really curious to see how this feature works and whether it does what I'm hoping for😊0
