why am I getting quick CPU surges when loading and playing back K8 instruments

Velocity control for String Ensemble
After recording a track in Pro Tools Artist using String Ensemble with the Kontakt 8 player, I discovered that the velocity controls in Pro Tools do not affect the volume of individual notes. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to activate velocity control?

I purchased K7 less than a month ago
I just purchased Kontakt 7 less than a month ago, on September 7, 2024. It doesn't seem right that I should now pay the full amount to upgrade. The shopping cart says the $99 upgrade is my "best" choice. Am I missing something? TIA

The Invert Parameter is linked to the Macro 1 of Page 2 of the following Instrument. vice versa Swing Amount and Latch Button also interfere´s the settings of Instruments… OK… my mistake. As i tried to uncheck the "Unwind Automation IDs" Option that caused the Linked behavior. So beware of messing with those Settings.. 😏

I just don't see the point in Kontakt 8. It's fully of gimmicks that I don't want, or need. Bloatware because of every more stuff aimed at noobs. As for resizing… that wasn't seen as something to add until now? My question is: All VSTs will continue to be backwards compatible, right?
