sustain pedal not working + browse button not lit up

hello!

two questions.

my sustain pedal doesn't work properly. the keys are stuck on sustain, and teh sustain pedal turns sustain off instead of the other way around.
it's been a while since I've plugged in this midi controller, and for some reason the browse button doesn't light up so I can't browse my sounds, and it says Firmware v0.5.9 on the screen.

Can somebody please help?

Suggestion: specify what “this midi controller” is ☺️ (probably a keyboard, probably a NI one…but…who knows ☺️)

@Boomfox Beats Also check if your pedal has a polarity switch.

It could be useful to add this information in the guide aforementioned (maybe where they talk about the invert and swap T/R parameters)
