Why do updates include sample libraries? Those are already installed, why not just update the apps?

When installing updates for some apps through Native Access users are forced to re-download dozens of GB of sample files already installed to the same locations the updates are being applied. Why not just update necessary pertinent data? It's 2025... Kontakt Library 2 and Sessions Strings Pro are over 38 GB each. All of the sample files are already on my system. Some have far less but this is terribly inefficient. Why do we have to re download them each time there is an update for these apps?

    A lot of the time it only downloads the updated samples for the newer libraries even though it says it's downloading the whole amount. Not all libraries support that though so some download the whole libray again.

    I've not come across a case where updating just an app needs a complete update of a sample library, unless you're doing a K7-K8 upgrade when you need the new libraries.

    Back in Sept 2023 when NI was readying the new MKIII Keyboards, Komplete Kontrol v3, NKS2 and other new tech - ALL Kontakt libraries had to be upgraded to take advantage of all these new requirements.

    While I agree - it "seems" like if the samples are already there - what's the big deal - but in cases like this - this is a big deal.

    So that means completely new versions of many libraries - sometimes requiring a full new download.
