Selling a hardware / software bundle (like a TRAKTOR KONTROL S3, MASCHINE MK3 or KOMPLETE KONTROL keyboard) is as easy as selling a single software product. You can unregister the hardware in your user account and will receive a License Transfer ID that you can pass to the new buyer. After the buyer has imported the License Transfer ID to their own account, they will receive the same software bundle as you, the original owner.
In short, this means that the seller keeps the software that came with the hardware - and the new owner receives it as well. This way, all potential upgrade paths, that are based on that software, stay intact.
🚨 Please note that there are a few exceptions with older products. For these products, the software license shows a tag that the license has to be transferred to the new user by our Account Support team

As ALDREAD said, expansions can be transferred.
There are some exceptions. Some expansions obtained under special circumstances (like offers) will be tagged as “Not Transferable”.
Maschine 3 software now can be bought without an hardware, so in that case it should be transferable. But, in the case it is received bundled with a hardware, it will probably remain tied to that hardware serial.
I would say as a general rule that anything that is bundled when registering a serial will be not transferable.

I must correct myself: I checked my account, and I have some expansions that I received as an offer when registering a Maschine Hardware and they are transferable, while I have some others that are “Not transferable” and I don’t recall how they were obtained, but surely through an offer, since, owning Komplete Collectors Edition which includes them all, I rarely bought any expansion (maybe just 3 or 4 in these 15+ years using Maschine).
Maybe the difference is if the expansions offer was managed through vouchers or not…
But… frankly… I guess if even NI knows the difference… it could be another of those cases where things were managed in a “casual” way…
