Native Access 3.18 is constantly forcing me to relocate/repair libraries (Mac)

Some answer might be with the name of the libraries.
For instance : Action Strings 1 & 2. Any of the two needs a relocate or reinstall.
Session Guitarist Strummed Acoustic 1 & 2. The same.
But this might not be the answer as the issue is still there.

managed to get past the AI assistant and chat with Manny at NI, who suggested the following workaround whilst they work on a fix:
• every time the system is restarted or booted up, please check in NA if any libraries are listed as broken. The broken ones can be pointed to the correct location by selection "Repair" > "Relocate " and selecting the library folder
• if the free space on the system drive allows it, the frequently required libraries could moved to the system drive (e.g. Macintosh HD > Users > Shared) because those paths should not be affected by this issue
• Once all of the paths are repaired creating a backup of the following folder can be helpful should the paths break again: Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Native Instruments > installed_products
Instead of repairing the paths again the next time they are listed as broken simply overwrite the the existing "installed_products" folder with the one you backed up.
hope that works for you guys - don't shoot the messenger! I'm off to repair about forty libraries (hopefully for the last time!)

it's exactly what i've done but no success as it can be a different library each time. Few days ago it was 80 different libraries. Yesterday it was nearly 40. Today i just had to point the right path again. But the workaround that Manny @NI suggested didn't work for me.

You see for instance today, Native Access shows no issue but when i ask to point the Path of any library, it goes to a different one with no error message.
Example : Show Installation Path > Audiomodern - Atom > …… it goes to > ToyBox - Atomic Pack.
I have nearly 8To of content … i'm not going to reinstall it all … i've gone trough the reinstall process anyway with no luck so …

I have the same issue, running Sonoma 14.7.2

It happened to all of my libraries at this point, it's a different set of libraries that need repair each time, followed by a pointless update after relocation.
Interestingly though, my libraries appear mostly fine so far in Kontakt 5 and Kontakt 6, it seemingly only happens with Kontakt 7. So if this is the case for you, using the older Kontakt VSTs might be the way to go.

Hi, I'm having the same issues. After having updated all my software to the latest version (OS 15.4.1, native Komplete 15, cubase 14 on MacBook Pro M3) every morning I have the same issue of random libraries being lost. Very frustrating on such a powerful and expensive system. Today's the first time I check this forum for these troubles. Thank god I'm not the only one and hopefully a solution is found soon.

Hey all,
We identified the issue and are working on a hotfix to be released as soon as possible (most likely early next week)
Under specific conditions the the function creating writing the path into the installed-products-json files malfunctions which results in the “/Volumes” part of the ContentCir entry disappearingThe following workaround options should help to get the libraries working again
1/ Repair Paths via NA
Open Native Access
Select “Support” > “Repair Product Content”
Press “Browser” and select the folder containing the libraries
- Press “Confirm” to get the paths repaired
This should fix it reliably.
2/ Create backup copy of the repaired installed_products folder
In case the paths are breaking frequently the following steps offer offer a way that only involves using the Repair Product Content once:
After the paths got repaired via Native Access please open the Finder and navigate to the following directory: Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Native Instruments
Copy the folder “installed_products” and paste it into a backup folder,e.g.:
Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Native Instruments > backup
The next time library folders go missing due to corrupted installed-products-json files, you can simply copy-paste the backed up “installed_products”-folder from [Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Native Instruments > backup > installed_products] into the [Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Native Instruments] to overwrite the existing “installed_products” folder with it3/ Moving the libraries temporarily onto the system drive
If it is just a few libraries that you want to make sure that their paths does not break and you have some spare free space on your system drive the following steps should help to keep their paths from breaking until the hotfix is ready:
Move the library folders from your external hd to the following location:
Macintosh HD > Users > Shared >
Open NA and use the “Support” > “Repair Product Content” to update their pathsThe moved libraries should not be affected by the malfunction anymore.
And once the hotfix is released they can be moved back onto the external hd.Important Note:
Investigating this issue we ran into another issue:
NA can display up-to-date libraries falsely in the “available updates” section when NA cannot find the folders at the designated location.
After repairing the paths they remain listed under “available updates” and pressing the “update” button will redownload the whole library again.
This seems to be a cosmetic issue which should be resolved with an upcoming update that removes them again from that section
Until then please ignore them being there.3 - Press “Confirm” to get the paths repaired

I would suggest to do an SOS in the Disk Utility first. Maybe a trouble with the permissions?

@Jeremy_NI Thank you for keeping up with infos about the state of the situation and for the detailed explanations on how to fix things

It's definitely a Native Access issue and nothing to do with the Mac's system or external hard drive permissions.
