The writing has been on the wall , but now it's official .

Vadim Zavalishin works at u-he .

Great news for U-he ( which I am big fan off and also betatester ) horrible news for reaktor owners .

So , N.I. congratulations for screwing up things so far and letting go one of the greatest dsp developers of the past decades .
When I see some of the N.I. promo videos passing by on facebook or youtube , it's apparent you're interested in the quick EDM dollar targeted at youngsters .

How sad to see what this once great software company has become .

    If that's true…sad indeed.

Don't forget HipHop,Rap target audience…also obvious they went for this market.

I feel this thread is not going to stay up for a long time…hehe.

I think the question of further development of Reaktor can be considered closed....

Only a shadow remains of the once iconic company known primarily for its innovative products.

It's time to look for alternatives

It's been confirmed by Urs Heckmann on the beta forum

I asked him if I could share the info and got green light , as long as you peeps aren't angry at him ;)

It's not his fault that talent is moving away from N.I ?

This makes me so damn angry ..whoever thought that selling out to a capital investment fund was a good idea .

    Greedy bunch of suits .

yes alternatives , if you want low level code like reaktor core , there is only really max that provides that .
Plugdata allows recursive feedback and you can code -export from faust into Plugdata
Another good alternative primarly for synth building is Alpha Forever , great sounding but in the end I'll go for max msp…waiting for it to go on sale …price is a bit steep at the moment

Well the team just said not long ago that they were considering Reaktor's future and which direction to take.Still possible they will maintain it,update a few basic things without any of the updates being too drastic or innovative.

That is probably the best we can hope without Vadim.

Lack of further development always negates the motivation for long-term use 🙁

What I am curious about now is u-he's products are sold on NI's website. So what is the relationship between NI and u-he? If the relationship is good, so the impact of VZ going to u-he shouldn't be significant, right?

    Good question

I don't think that has anything to do with it , there 's business and there's work .

N.I. sells arturia , softube etc.. they have become a hub lately .

What I do wonder if how Vadim feels now his brainchild ( core technology ) is left behind .

We also don't know if he got fired or just resigned for whatever reason

Sure , he probably had a good salary but I reckon it must kind of suck to see this happen .
Let's not forget it all started with Syncmodular , without the buy out sycmodular , no vadim and no reaktor core as we know it .

Almost 100% sure that the working environment@ u-he is will be much better , without capitalist suits laying out the roadmap .
fwiw , I hope N.I. fails miserably and go bankrupt asap , that's how pissed I am

What sad news, its seems Francisco Partners really are squeezing the life out of NI. Great to see Vadim get a job at respected forward thinking company and I’m excited to see the fruits of their labour.

I think vadim can get a job everywhere , he literally introduced zdf filters back in 2008

I remembered the topic I initiated earlier about the future of Reaktor, of course, that topic has now been closed for discussion. I don't think NI can stop anyone's concerns, especially now that these concerns have become a reality. Since Reaktor's future development will not change in any way, should we make it clear instead of saying useless things? NI should also understand that Reaktor will not bring any profits to the company, and those that bring profits will always be those samples. Reaktor is just a legend that everyone is offering, and everyone hopes that Reaktor can inject blood into this small group of people who love Reaktor forever. Therefore, it is better to say some things directly. Those who like it will naturally stay, and it is normal not to like it. Anyway, NI must let everyone should know the final answer earlier so that they can find other alternative solutions.

Can we create a petition to ask NI to sell Reaktor to U-He, that's the best possible course of action, if they have no plans to update or continue Reaktor development then they have no future revenue stream with it.

But selling it to another company would be the only way to turn a profit while alleviating themselves of the angry user blowback/boycott that would stem from a full discontinuation of Reaktor.

U-He has always seemed like a developer that values there users and understands the appeal of something like Reaktor, they could use it as a prototyping platform as well as a for sale product.

If U-He can purchase Reaktor from NI I will gladly pay a crossgrade fee to keep Reaktor going.

If NI discontinues Raktor, we'll pretty much all just boycott them for life in anger, If they sell to U-He I'd still be willing to buy some of their hardware.

To those of you who are beta testers for U-He, can you reach out and ask him if he'd be interested?

I have no idea what something like that would cost, but I want to create the conversation here and now.

U-he has done buisness with NI for a while now, he could definately ask them and negotiate a price to see if it's worth it.

It's seems that this would be the only hope for Reaktor going forward.

This kind of vile spitefullness is normal these days, unfortunately.

    Shows how people really are.

It also shows how dumb people are. As if this wasn't about the necessity of earning a living.
