    As far as I remember from some posts on kvr, Urs is not he biggest biggest fan of visual programming, So I doubt he would continue Reaktor (but you never know).

    That said, I am not starting a new project with Reaktor until the roadmap has been announced. And if the roadmap will seem a dead end, that's it for me then. Too bad of the countless hours I have invested.

    Who says U-he is even remotely interested in developing reaktor any further ?
    Truth be said , I also hinted it at the U-he beta form but we have to be realistic here .

    U-he has now gathered a team of incredible knowledge ( his words ) and spending time on something like reaktor would require way to many resources ( my words ) .
    N.I. did't even release absynth to brian Clevinger when it was eol , so why reaktor ?
    Iirc of the the original i.p. holders of reaktor is Stephan Schmitt ( now running non linear labs ) , Vadim while being responsible for making reaktor a serious dsp platform , is not .
    It's over guys , max-msp isn't really that bad at all ;)

    Coming back to what the team "Matthew" said a few months ago…

    "There is more about the roadmap I wish we could say, but is still confidential and cannot yet say. "

    " I can only get back to work and we'll see what people have to say about what we release over the next 12-18 months."

    It does sound like there's a plan for Reaktor,so we shouldn't conclude too fast. Too bad we have to wait 1 year to know what it is…and in one year things can change as well.

    To be honest, I don't even know how long I've been waiting.😂

    Cool but that's just code meaning easy .
    I don't consider that an environment at all

    The nice thing about Reaktor though is even people like me who don't code can manage to make some basic tweaks in EDIT mode to ensembles, I don't find Max (4Live in my case) to be anywhere near as accessible.

    “All truth passes through three stages:

    First,

    it is ridiculed;

    second,

    it is violently opposed;

    and third,

    it is accepted as self-evident."

    I suddenly felt that the topic we discussed before was very stupid, and even had no meaning anymore. I don't understand why some people still insist that Reaktor won't be abandoned. You should know that whether it will be abandoned or updated is two different things. I can accept the outcome of being abandoned, but I cannot accept being told that Reaktor may make progress in the future without any definite direction.This is a very painful torment.We all know that Reaktor is still powerful, but it cannot be denied that some things are indeed very old, which is why we hope it can be further updated. Now what we were hoping for has been destroyed by the ruthless reality, but NI still wants us to shut up and wait quietly.

    Excerpts from 6 May 2025 NI Blog on "Meet Nick Williams, the CEO of Native Instruments":

    "I've been a keyboard player since I was 7, and played in bands for many years. At university, I lived across the street from Thom Yorke and have followed his creative journey. When Radiohead's Kid A came out, I was fascinated by the sounds on that record – and discovered that Reaktor was a key part of the sonic palette. That was my introduction to Native Instruments back in 2000."

    "Reaktor will always have a special place with me – it's where the journey began for NI in many ways, as well as for me. It represents our roots in deep synthesis and experimental sound design."

    There is still hope on the continuation of Reaktor, or perhaps morphed into Reaktor X? (An analogy of Massive and Massive X.)

    Only time will tell…

    Hope is a foolish thing. It is not to hope, but to be sure. But there's no reason to be sure.

    I read that article and I think the mention of Reaktor is just a polite remark and does not indicate anything.As for Reaktor needing time to prove this? Reaktor doesn't need time to prove, its good parts will always be good. What we need is its clear and concise development, not just a few words. I think it's a bit funny that they attracted everyone's hope for NI by talking about Reaktor , but what they do has nothing to do with Reaktor.
