How change midi channel on S61 MK3

Hello,
I bought the Kontrol S61 MK3, and I've just updated it to 1.9.4.
I use Kontakt on stage and would like to be able to switch from one instrument to another simply by changing the midi channel of my instrument. But here's the problem: I can't find this primary function on a master keyboard. A blunder on the part of Native Instruments? Should I send the keyboard back because I can't use it simply as a master keyboard?
Thanks in advance for your help.

As mentioned, you can edit the MIDI channel in the MIDI template settings. If you want to be able to quickly change channel, currently the best way is to create a separate MIDI template for each channel, and use the prev/next buttons to switch template.

I have created the 16 templates for 16 different MIDI channels. They are all identical and based on the Default Template. The only difference is that each one transmits on a different MIDI channel——1-16. The template changes the MIDI Channel number for all parameters—notes, pedals, buttons, knobs, wheels and touch strip.
The different template channels can simply be called up by pressing the "Previous" and "Next" arrow buttons, which is not too inconvenient. You just need to make sure you see the name of the Template, like "Channel 1" on the screen before hitting Previous or Next. If you're in Kontakt and seeing a VI on the screen, you need to press the "SETTINGS MIDI" button to see the template name, and then you can start pressing "Previous or Next" to change channels. And then once you change channels, you can press "PLUG-IN" to go back to seeing the VI.
I'll be curious to hear if they work for you.

Hello,
and thank you for your answers. I'm a real beginner at this kind of “programming”, so a big thank you to dogbone, for his Templates, which will tide me over until I fully understand how to create these famous Templates. What's a shame is that when I use these Templates to change midi channel, I can't access the instrument settings page, because as soon as I go back to the settings page, Plugin, I end up on the first sound, channel 1. Is there anything you can do to solve this problem?
Thanks again for your help.0
