It’s been released for beta testers. Are you on beta?

Edit: once again… only after posting, comments (even from more than 1 hour before) appear… sorry… I just hope the migration to another forum provider will come soon…

@MaikR "Now let me ask you something… what makes you that interested or concerned about what I’m asking or why I choose to keep my interest in Maschine Plus?"

The answer to this would involve a much wider conversation than is probably worth getting into (especially in a thread that's soon to close). But really it's nothing personal regarding you, or anyone specifically. My problem is that the constant complaining, over so many threads just rags the whole place down.

I'm not trying to censor members, and I believe it''s important that our voices are heard. However, like many such forums, those who are having a good time with their hardware and software have no need to post regularly, so the resulting conversations seem disproportionately negative. Again, (constructive) criticism is important, but there comes a point where the same requests and complaints veer into 'beating a dead horse' territory.

In the case of Maschine+, it's not a frustration I share. Being new to the Maschine scene, i have not built up years of frustration, nor do I expect to receive anything, bug-fixes aside, that wasn't with the hardware I originally bought (Happy for new features if they turn up, though). But over the 20 years I've been with NI I have certainly had my fair share of frustrations and annoyances, and still do, so I get it.

Ultimately, NI is quite the sprawling company with it's fingers in many of the pies. Such a huge 'ship' is harder to steer than smaller tug-boats. Comparing their output, customer support and product development to other companies just doesn't make any sense. The only thing to do is for each person to weigh the positives against the negatives to decide whether to stick or fold. Despite my frustrations, I'm still well ahead with positives. but I think if I felt as badly as some here, I would have already dumped NI, a long time ago.

One thing some newcomers (in this case in the Maschine scene) seem not to notice: the things they use now and that make them happy have been obtained by others that raised the issues while others told them “we are happy with our pads being good and what we have”.

It’s like hearing a woman saying “I don’t raise my voice because I can already vote and I’m happy with what I have” forgetting other women fought for that right… while some other women of that time were telling them “we don’t raise our voices because we are not beaten anymore and we are happy with what we have”.

Things can always be improved…and everyone will profit of it…even the happy ones

I have no clue where you get the idea that I don't realise that products are where they are because of previously raised concerns. I may be new to Maschine, but I've been using music software for well over two decades. I've put in many hours towards improvements of various software in the past, by offering situations and, yes, also complaints.

But none of that has anything to do with going overboard with repeating the same stuff over and over again.

The clue is exactly in your last statement: things have been improved after “repeating the same stuff over and over again” for years, since NI works so

Akai heavily censors their forums. MPCForum is the place to go to see any real discourse about Akai products

@LostInFoundation "The clue is exactly in your last statement"

It really isn't. I've clearly been trying to make the distinction between a reasonable level of badgering, and going over-the-top.

If the head of the team has written that the Beta is imminent, then you either choose to accept that or not. And yes, they've evidently been saying this for a long time. However, it's clear that, even in the small amount of time I \;ve been on this forum, that things have changed in terms of feedback, communication etc. Again, you can accept that or not.

At this point, in reference to the current long-awaited M+ update, and unless you have proof to the contrary, I suspect that progress is being made completely in spite of all the many posts and many threads that get tied up with these repeated complaints.

    "Are we there yet, daddy?".

"No! We'll be there when we get there!"

It's a shame that Akai are engaging in that behaviour. I doubt it's much of a leap for people to find the other forum.
