I was going to go for Chuck Berry, or Jimi Hendrix, but outside of these pioneers, there's one song good enough to have everything a guitar player needs as a canvas.
Brian May's solo on Bohemian Rhapsody:
The roughness into the middle eight, to the delicacy of fingerstyle fade. Key changes, tempo changes and absolute control of the listener through mastery of his guitars and pedals makes this one the best for me.

So this is love - Van Halen (solo starts 1:25 , ends 1:50)
Other than the amazing technique , pinch harmonics and speed , I don’t think Eddie VH gets enough credit for his phrasing and tight/slinky rhythm , which is so evident in this solo. He makes his guitar sound like a saxophone on this one . Crazy beautiful.

Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd - One of the most memorable guitar solos ever laid down. Iconic tone, and instantly recognizable melody!

Picked by Jimmy Page as one of his favorite guitar solos of all time, the opening Intro solo to Reelin' In The Years is about as classic as they come!!

For me, Atreyu - Right Side Of The Bed. I’ve always thought he just plays it looking so effortlessly and it’s amazing.

There are too many to list but I remember hearing the solo in Little Red Bottle and being completely obsessed! Reminiscent of Mark Knopfler in Sultan's of Swing. Enjoy!

Prince - Purple Rain. Yes, he was also a guitarist.

Sweet Child O'Mine guitar solo especially when the wah pedal kicks in at around 3 minute mark. My first song to performed on stage when I'm in middle school lol. Still gives me goosebumps and adrenaline shot.
