why is there no support for the MK3? When I bought this unit for $650 I was NEVER told I would have to download 6 tons of software for it or that I had to be a computer programmer to make it work and upon down loading the software nothing works, half of the downloads didn’t follow he path to the VST3 folder and there is nowhere to get help or answers, the YouTube videos are all useless, now what ?

I would have NEVER purchased this box if I had known there was absolutely no support or help with this very over complicated unit.

I just loaded the software for the MK3, 5 of the down loads went to the VST3, 5 of them didn't follow the path to the VST3 folder and went to documents and nothing works. I was never prompted a selection to where the downloads should go, they just automatically went where they went, is this the right path? I find NOTHING anywhere that explains this, and looking at all the complaints and problems this unit has in the discussions section I find absolutely terrifying without tech support from this company, I was never told this when I purchased and find it absolutely unacceptable that there is no tech support for this mashcine as complicated as it is. can anyone help?

OP, when you chill out: Download Native Access, Log In with your Native Instruments account, and then you'll see a list of software & sound packs that you are entitled to use. If you don't want to download everything, you don't have to. You can easily just install Maschine w/ only the factory content if you want to, and leave everything else alone. You are mad about literally nothing.

You can always contact N.I. Maschine Support or N.I. Hardware Support and ask for advice and guidance.

All you need to do is to download latest version of Native Access for your OS and then use that to register the device (and install the drivers via Maschine software ?) and if need be update the device. As far as I know then all the rest is optional and if you do not want to use it then you do not have to download it.

or that I had to be a computer programmer to make it work and upon down loading the software nothing works, half of the downloads didn’t follow he path to the VST3 folder and there is nowhere to get help or answers, the YouTube videos are all useless, now what ?

N.I. intro videos are here and tutorial videos are here .

The getting started guide and manual is here

Else please be more specific and maybe someone else more knowledgeable than I can help better. 🙂

support is available via the correct channels

You can get help here , but you really need to be clearer

In native access , there is a preference / setting option , you can select where apps , downloads (which is the download of the various installers) and libraries go ( libraries are samples , expansions , instruments for kontakt player etc

Vst will download to the general vst folders like most daws

List what you have in your vst folder and then list what you think has gone in the wrong place , maybe what you think is a vst , isn’t actually a vst and just a library for a vst .

Not mad, lol just really frustrated though , I have finally downloaded all the files successfully, it appears they are all in the right folders now and the computer is recognizing the MK3 but I can't figure out how to get the MK3 into Studio One and make it work, I am old school from the 70s and 80s analog tape days, never messed with digital recording, I'm like a Timex watch in a digital age, I am reading all the manuals and viewing all the YouTube tutorials out there but can't seem to get it to work, I am in Detroit maybe one of you guys know a user or someone who knows the MK3 that I can contact here in Detroit Michigan, or someone that can walk me through what I am doing Wrong, Thanks for the reply

You have to locate the Maschine VST in Studio One's Browser, or what ever window you access to get to your plugins, then load it into your session. Then, you can route groups & individual sounds into as many audio channels as you need. But also, why use Maschine instead of Impact XT & Presonus' Drum Controller/Sequencer?

I had the MK3 before the other stuff, I got the Maschine because of all the different stuff I saw that it can do in a demonstration, and it can be used stand alone.
