Kontakt only intruments playing when NOT selected in my DAW

Hi all,

I just installed Komplete Start yesterday along with Kontakt 8. Everything was working really well yesterday in a session until I saved, shut down, and went back to it later.

What is happening now is, if I either have no tracks selected or if I have a non-kontakt track selected, the playback is totally fine but when I have a lontakt track selected, I get no audio for that track. Even if I am not playing the track back and just in kontakt to write, I see I am getting a volume reponse in the DAW as well as kontakt but I am not hearing anything.

If I add a new kontakt instrument, that plays perfectly and I have no issues. So I assume something happened when I shut down and loaded back up. Is this a common issue or is this just some really weird thing going on here.

Let me know if this is the right place to post this, otherwise I can move it where it needs to go.

Not sure how/if I can edit my post, but forgot to mention I am using Studio One 7 Pro.

Hello,

have you checked the mixer that the track isn't muted or something like that instead of just selected. If you get the meters moving then the issue is in your DAW I would say.
