How to intergrate Maschine 3.0.1 and Cubase 14 Pro

I want to be able to integrate

Maschine 3.01 with Cubase 14 but no matter how I try or how many YouTube videos I watch nothing seems to work. I've attached my settings and I can see activity on the Maschine track when I tap a pad. Is there any online instructions as to how this can be achieved. The main issue appears to be the routing, although I have match what Jeff Gibbons shows, still won't work :(

Same as Maschine 2, nothing changed… For quikc and easy routing of one Group what Tom said can work.

For advanced routing and/or to learn the details of routing read this Post:

    D-One,

I was somewhat too quick to respond before fully taking into account your response. I failed to open the full transcript of your step by step instructions. I have since watched your excellent Youtube video and downloaded the project files from the link in your response. I'll go through everything carefully and let you know how I get on :)

I really appreciate the completeness and effort you have gone into in making the information to us noobies, many, many thanks

Worked flawlessly… What did it for me was you comprehensive step by step and downloadable project files (Cubase/Maschine) which allowed me to systematically go through each and all of the settings, many of which were not mentioned by other Youtubers.

    Thank you so much :)

What are you trying to achieve exactly? What do you mean by "integrate"?

I want to be able to record the drum kits into cubase as midi events by using the pads on the Maschine. I load Machine as a VST instrument and set Maschine in Midi Mode. I can see activity on the track but when I try to record Cubase does not record anything?

Interestingly, I can set up Groove Agent 5 and trigger the Steinberg kits within GA5 so I know teh MK3 is sending info

You probably need to configure the machine plugin to receive midi on the group and key mode to drum kit. Be sure to send midi with the right octave (C2 is the first sound and then you go from there). If you want to decide the octave yourself, set key mode to manual.

    D-One,

Many thanks for the reply and assistance. I'll take a look at the link later today and see if I can get things to work. One of the issues I have is that many of the suggestions I see are from a few years back and given the frequency of software updates, many have introduced a number of additional routing options. This is the case with Cubase 14. Once upon a time you simply had midi in/out, now there are a whole range of options and it's difficult to determine the correct option to choose. I've attached my settings for Cubase Instrument track (Maschine) and the midi track. In midi mode I can see activity on the midi track and make a recording, but I hear no sound during the recording. In performance mode I hear sound on the Instrument track but can't record. How can I get the recorded midi to play back through the Maschine?
