How to upgrade to maschine 2.0 software

Wouldn't buying Maschine 3 also permit running an older version with that license?
Usually it does do not work that way. If it did then people would get all sorts of licenses and then ask for down-grade to this or that. However N.I. supports makes all decisions and hold the keys to all of that so if anyone wants anything confirmed or ask that sort of questions then they can ask N.I. Purchase Support or N.I. Account Support. I can not exclude the possibility of N.I. support being willing to make an exception especially not since it is so short time since they took down the V.2 upgrade.
I myself can not even get an answer that I can quote with respect to if e.g. Komplete Select 14 can be used as foundation for a Komplete Standard 13 upgrade from/for Select but in each case have to tell people to contact support and ask them

Excuse me? Please pay attention at the back. I said Maschine 3, not Maschine MK3.
The full Maschine 3 software bundle is £89 (and that's only required because you never upgraded to version 2). Even if you did buy the Maschine MK3, right now it's under £400 at most retailers.
I suggested that buying a 3 license may allow use of earlier versions too, which it often does with products from other companies. If NI don't do that, then you'll have to contact support.

Then, search around! I just did a simple search and i found:
Option 1 - There are 26 comments regarding Maschine 2 in the Buy/Sell/Trade category.
All results are on this search link, you have to explore them one by one.Option 2 - Found results on Google too (if you bypass first pages and major providers), but you have to do it by yourself of course. Use this search:
https://www.google.com/search?q=Maschine+2+software+for+sale
Option 3 (Only in case that you have no other solution!) - I do have 2 Maschine 2 licenses. If i confirm that i can update to Maschine 3 with the one, i can sell you the other one in a very fair price. @Jeremy_NI can you please check my account and confirm that this is possible?

Im confused, what would be the point of upgrading to V3 for a user with an Mk1 Controller? It's not supported on it.

The idea is that the Maschine 3 license key might also be acceptable for Maschine 2.x, as the newer license contains all previous ones. Some product licenses work like that.

If I could buy maschine 3 software/upgrade and then just install maschine 2 software I would do that. But I need conformation it will work like that
I am currently enjoying using the maschine…. via alternative means……… but waiting for NI to take my money so. (Unless they expect me to fork out another 800 for the MK3 which I see nothing wrong with my MK1 as I am a beginner user)
I will keep checking back.0 -
Oh you might be able to sell me one? Ok let me know.

Oh my apologies.
Yea I am fine with doing that as long as I can use the older maschine 2 software.
I guess I will open a ticket and see what they say.
Thanks guys1 -
Well, we don't sell Maschine 2.0 anymore as it's discontinued. You can buy a second hand licence. If you wish to buy the Maschine 3 update then you won't be able to load your Maschine 1 projects. You need Maschine 2.8 for that: How to Import MASCHINE 1 Projects In MASCHINE 2
So for this reason @LeoMajor if you wish to buy the Maschine 3 software update, then we would add a Maschine 2 licence for free on demand (for yyour particular case). Just let us know.

I have nothing special worth keeping anyways but yes I would buy the update and then take the Maschine 2 License.
Thank you!0 -
Just to clarify should I buy the
Maschine 3 Software Update
Or the
Maschine 3
?
I want all the sounds that come with it….. Will all my current sounds from maschine 1 library still be there?
Also will I be able to purchase all of the newest/newer sound packs and use them with maschine 2.8 and mk1?
I Have all these old expansions like "true school" and "platinum bounce" that I would purchase as well.0 -
I'm a little confused what option to go with, as I am a "maschine 1" and mk1 owner. I never did the maschine 2 upgrade. So I notice that if i do the update it says "only works for users of maschine 2"
But the maschine 3 software update also states only for maschine 2 users.
Which one of the 3 am I suppose to do? Considering I was never a maschine 2.x user and was a maschine 1.8 user?0 -
@LeoMajor After checking, yes the update price is only for Maschine 2 software owners. If you have a MAschine 1 licence you'll have to pay full price for Maschine 3 software. If you own a MK1 Maschine controller Maschine 3 will not work with it, you'll be better off with a second hand Maschine 2 software licence, maybe in our Buy/Sell/Trade section: Buy / Sell / Trade
