How to upgrade to maschine 2.0 software

Personally I'd buy a used MK2 with a license, I've seen them for as low as 75$ on the used market.

Oh my bad… It just seemed odd to me to be like: yeah go buy v3, maybe it also gives you V2 automatically, if it doesn't then complain to support… If it actually worked like you guys assumed it did it would actually be so much better and simpler. 👍

But now that Jeremy confirms it's a possibility to manually ask I guess its safe.

Expect prices to drop now that Mk2 hardware and Maschine 2 software are officially end of life and not supported anymore. After the Black Friday sales, there might be a number of people unloading their old Maschine after buying a Mk3.

So I just got an email, they gave me access to Maschine 2 software and the library! So now I can use it with my mk1 officially through Native Access :)

I was on board with spending the 40$ upgrade for it….and still would except for the fact that maschine 3 won't work with my mk1.

But I am thinking…. If I buy the maschine 3 software update, and just not install it and Keep using Maschine 2 software, would I be able to buy the newer soundpacks/expansions coming out for maschine 3 and import those sounds into maschine 2 software library still?

The Maschine Central library (that you can buy on its own) is compatible with v2 Maschine software.

It's hard to say right now if future expansions will be 100% compatible with V2 software, but the actual audio and synth presets should still work. It's more likely that the format for the Maschine project/group files may change.
