Slicer: slices and source punch

Hi guys,
Woke up early this morning and tried to use slicing to mix a loop I am working on.
Pretty simple stuff:
Bar 1, 2, 3: original loop
Bar 4: sliced loop (variation)
Whatever approach I take (tried many: auto sampling, using the Wave button, route source and sliced loop to the same fxs) the sliced loop always sounds "weaker" than the source, you can definitely hear the difference between the two.
What am I doing wrong in your opinion?
Thank you in advance.
G.

Are you using a lot of reverse? That could be a reason. Another thing could be if you have the velocity setting active in the sampler, and the triggers aren't at 127 velocity

You can also set velocity sensitivity to off in the Sampler, no? That would make those sounds ignore velocity altogether

Good point Tommaso, unfortunately none of the above in my case. I am not using any reverse and velocity is set to fixed on my Maschine MK2.

Fixed to what? did you manually change it to 127? Otherwise the default value is 100.

Yes you are right guys, thank you for helping me out with this.
On Maschine MK2 after chopping the sample, do the following:
1) select the group containing the slices
2) go to PAD MODE
3) go to FIXED VEL tab using arrow keys
4) set velocity to 127
Now when playing chops/slices on that group and recording them they get placed on the sequencer at full velocity/volume
STILL
The above do not apply when programming/writing a sequence using the sequencer with a mouse/cursor, in that case velocity has to be adjusted on the sequencer manually and individually for each slice.
Am I missing something?
Is there a way to actually force velocity on both pad made and sequencer?

Hi, thank you for your reply. I haven't tried that yet (I will though), I guess that when writing the melody on the sequencer (so not through recorded live pads session) the velocity will be still stuck at 100 and will require manual adjustment on each sample, isn'it?

Unfortunately, Yes.
If you add notes with the mouse it does not follow the HW fixed velocity lvl, it would be a nice quality-of-life feature implementation if they added it.

I mainly use Maschine+ in standalone, and even when I use it tethered to a computer, I dont touch keyboard & mouse if I can help it, so I honestly wouldn't know
