Thank you! And I apologize if my initial post came across heated. I am just very passionate about NI products and this would be such a great timesaver for everyone.
Happy holidays and a happy new year everyone :).

Hi guys!
Many thanks and much love for the awesome product you guys are giving us!
My personal feature wishlist would be, please please please please please:
- please fix the bug that prevents us from using multiple hardware MIDI outs - it is such a drag to daisy-chain all expanders on MIDI-THRU like in the 80s
- add a variable negative time offset on patterns/sounds with active MIDI out to allow for zero latency with VST instruments and external modules (pre-run the playback with per-track offset as in other DAWs)
- extend the sequencer to support gate length alongside the existing grid resolution, preferably in % of the grid resolution both for note inout in the software pattern editor, and for adjusting selected MIDI notes from recording similar to quantization. This would allow us to set the gate length to 80% and key in bass lines in 1/8th resolution in a breeze, and support gate length change if you change the sound to a patch with more release.
- extend the sample editor and provide a better way to add an amount of silence or an offset to the beginning of recordings. This would help whenever you record a track based on threshold triggering but the track does not start on the first beat (e.g. insert 1/4th of silence because the pattern starts on the 2 of the first bar). It is not an issue for Sampler, but Audio triggers from the start of the take.
- allow us to record takes of patterns as a single run that stops playback at the end of the pattern but continues the recording until it is stopped manually - this would make sampling patterns for external instruments (with latency) much easier. Currently, I have to either set it to a loop and live with a messy take or extend the pattern by a bar, which gets old if I record a dozend different patterns in a row. This would require running a pattern once in ideas view.
- recognize double clicks on patterns to rename them, instead of just toggling them because they received "two single clicks", or consider one consistent keyboard shortcut for "rename focus element" across the UI - renaming ten patterns in a row gets old fast with all the right-clicking
- select and copy&paste multiple effects from one sound and/or group to others (this would probably require shift/control multiple selection on the effect list)
- is it just my installation, or is there a problem running Plugin Alliance's VST plug-ins in the current version?
Please please please.
Thanks for the awesome software!
Tobias

I can't update open Access on Windows 10 latest update and I am scared to delete Access and service and to download and install new version because I have projects that I am currently working on and I read more complaining about New Access, all I wanted was to upgrade my Komplete but I am sorry but it's to risky for me to gamble. Apparently it is Windows who is making problems to Cubase too but then I hear it's similar with Ableton... I don't know what to do Honestly and I do everything in Maschine from start to finish and maybe Maschine plus us the solution...I don't know

@Psyearth5 Not sure if you're likely to have problems or not, but bear in mind it's now pretty much Christmas and NI technical support are unlikely to be around for a while if you have problems. I'd suggest you change nothing unless you really, really, really, REALLY need to update something that's stopped working or have some new software that you really can't work without. And then think twice :) The last thing you want is not being able to finish your projects because you hit a glitch.

Great advice. Now is the time to relax and compose and worry about technical stuff in the new year.

And now it's reverted back to insta-failing every download.
Come on NA, can you please make it actually work? You know, like it used to? The whole being functional thing was a really cool feature.

Native Access now also runs on Linux with a few workarounds. See here:

I work with Win11. My old NA version (I do not know how old and what version) did not recognize an update. Fine with me – why update a running system, right? But then I needed Kontakt 7.7 for Vocal Colors. But my NA version only installed Kontakt 7.6. No matter how often I triggered a reinstall it was always this old version. In the end I had to download the actual version of NA and just install it over the old one. After that: "ding, ding, ding!" there is an update for Kontakt! Now Vocal Colors works fine. 😎

NI is already pushing commercial adds into my throat in NATIVE ACCESS ! so at least remove the commercials from KONTAKT - it is absolutely unfair and drives most users nuts. I pad top $$$ for a product without adds and I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THEM IN KONTAKT OR KK !

Hey all, apologies for my absence, as I was out due to holidays.
We've indeed discovered an unfavorable relationship between NA and Private Relay. I plan to look into it further and see if there's some way we can diagnose the source of a download error corresponding to Private Relay.
Thanks for flagging!
