MacOS 14 Sonoma issues with Native Access

Nope, unfortunately. Keep getting 'Permission denied', I've checked all the files I would have to remove, following all the guides, but I keep getting this message. Could be because I have M1 processor?

Yeah, probably the best...

Man you are 100 percent right. 100 percent. NI has lost my future business. Take note NI. Your products will be day one ready or we stop giving you money. the end.

I really hate comments like @bobbyduracel. First of all, there is zero reason for the patronizing comments. Second, some of us updated to Sonoma BEFORE deciding to purchase NI products like Komplete, Kontakt, or the MK S-series keyboard. Third, not all of us have been through rounds and rounds of these update cycles and audio companies to know beforehand that there is likely to be incompatibilities. Fourth, like @plepola and @Jeremy_NI stated above, NI has up to a year to prepare for these updates. And fifth, as @Jeremy_NI stated above, there really hasn’t even been any incompatibility issues with Sonoma found by Native Instruments. Your comments are less than helpful and do not help this community.

Curious... Will you (and Baptistmann) say the same to Arturia, Spitfire Audio, Goodhertz, Korg, Slate Digital, Softube, Solid State Logic, Sonnox, Spectrasonics and several others that still not support Sonoma to this date?

I'm running MacOS and have not had issues with Native Access. There have been specific instruments/plugins that won't install but it has nothing to do with Native Access. I have Komplete 14 Standard and everything has installed without issue on MacOS 14 with the exception of RX 10 Elements.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend upgrading to MacOS 14, but I already did and I don't want to go through the trouble of restoring from a TimeMachine backup.

To clarify the situation. You're trying to install NI libraries to your external drive that is formatted as APFS? Is that correct? Did you format it as case-sensitive or case-insensitive?
Is Native Access installed on your internal drive or your external drive?
I have an external NVMe drive as well and would be happy to help to and troubleshoot/reproduce any issues you're seeing.
Currently I don't have any NI stuff installed on my external drive, but now I'm curious.

No. because, we are not having issues with them.

I must revise this statement, there have been issues with Sonoma and the Native Access team is working on full compatibility, as Hayo shared here: Native Access - Q4 Update
We also pointed out again to our newest teammembers to include workarounds and external installers for the affected products, so hopefully users don't get this compatibility statement as only answer when they contact us, don't forget to specify / emphasize what products are posing a problem.
Regarding Apple and their update cycles, yes, they provide beta versions and only a few weeks after the official release starts the next beta, so it's an endless race for compatibility. Yes, we can probably do better and faster but most companies are in the same boat and have little say in Apple's decisions.
This is why, as a general rule, we recommend not to update your MacOS as soon as it's out.

NI is one of the best companies and u know that!
Be patient my friend and update to sonoma when the time is right,
its not the end of the world if you wait for a while!

I agree with Ghost Fox. NI is the only vendor I am having issues with. This problem with delays in downloading and updating might not be a big deal for hobby musicians but for professionals it is a no go ! There are deadlines and deliverables. If the software is not reliable then it deserves to be called out. The developers are just providing excuses because they slacked ! Simple as that ! It is frustrating.

Let's just talk about the elephant in the room.
I've never had any issues with Arturia software on my M2 Studio even after updating to MacOS 14.1.1.
MPC software I would probably rate 2nd best, I think I've had some minor technical issues running their stuff on MacOS, but nothing huge. Although I will say Akai has recently switched to some new software registration unified platform bla bla... not sure if they were acquired by another company? Anyways they've been having some issues with their new licensing/software management tool. So it's not all roses with MPC.
But sadly, even though I've probably spent the most money on NI software, I'd have to say it definitely has the most issues out of the bunch, and I've told my Sweetwater rep the same.
I don't want to come on this forum and bash NI, because it really isn't productive in the first place. I'd rather help other users navigate some of the issues that other users have encountered. But at the same time I think NI needs to hear it. I don't feel like this is completely ranting though, because I've provided numerous suggestions to NI on ways they can improve things, so I'm not just throwing stones. I've provided input, happy to help test software, drivers etc..
