Does anyone know how to fix NTDDLL.DLL error on Traktor startup?

Have you tried to just connect the controller without opening Traktor and check in the windows device manager if all drivers are installed. You can also try to set the laptop to full power mode don't use power saving.

Yes it shows in device manager with no errors, I've checked the firmware on it too and appears to be up to date (0.6). Laptop is always plugged in so no power modes engaged on it. Thanks for suggestions :)

and a laptop, even if plugged in has some power saving modes enabled

It's Windows 10, it's NI that keep sending me links about Win7. That link doesn't help unfortunately as DEP only applies to 32 bit installs (says it won't work for 64 bit executables)

Does the audio interface work if you connect the S4 and use it as audio interface for whatever but not traktor? Have you checked the windows event viewer. And also add the native service to the windows exclusion list, I mean the NIHardwareService - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/add-an-exclusion-to-windows-security-811816c0-4dfd-af4a-47e4-c301afe13b26

Well thanks for all your help guys, tried all that to no avail unfortunately. I got the 3.8 installer off NI support though and it works absolutely fine straight away so can only assume there's some weird combo of the new version and whatever I've got on my laptop so for now it's all good!
