Does anyone know how to fix NTDDLL.DLL error on Traktor startup?
After recently having issues with Traktor taking ages (5 mins+) to actually start up (or it not start up at all) I decided to go for the nuclear option and do a full clean install of windows and start from scratch.
I only use the laptop for Traktor so figured I wouldn't install anything I didn't need and keep it super clean. However now it just doesn't work at all. I can open Traktor fine but as soon as I turn my S4mk3 on it closes immediately. I raised a service ticket about this and was informed it was a NTDDLL.DLL crash which is a "big problem" but just sent me a microsoft link for how to fix it in Windows 7 that doesn't help. I've tried loads of different things, various videos. It appears noone else has had this problem?

Well thanks for all your help guys, tried all that to no avail unfortunately. I got the 3.8 installer off NI support though and it works absolutely fine straight away so can only assume there's some weird combo of the new version and whatever I've got on my laptop so for now it's all good!

Doesn't really help either, it's windows 7 advice again and largely revolves around running programs in compatibility mode such as windows 8 (it should work fine in windows 10!). I've already done the other sys check things in command prompt

I just did a clean install of windows 10 though and updated the driver direct from the NI site. I'm happy to go through it all again but not confident it will actually make any difference! I've never had windows 7 on this device (I haven't used win 7 for probably 6 years!)

I did have some issues with the previous install of windows, just weird stuff around looking at folders etc and delays in them updating. no blue screens, DLL issues or critical errors though... I've gone back to support and asked for a couple of old versions to try, have requested 3.5 and 3.8 just to see if that works (given that it worked before).

Well given that Windows is now sorted, completely fresh clean install (folder behaviour not a problem) and everything else works fine - Traktor just doesn't work now when I connect my controller. This wasn't a problem before (despite other weird issues) and I wasn't running that version of Traktor before as it hadn't updated (not sure what version it was though). Just thinking if I go back to an older version of Traktor it rules that out as an issue as at the moment I can either use my controller with my vinyl and not turn my laptop on or I can use Traktor without my controller!

Yeah exactly - I've spent way over £1000 on NI products over the years and guess it was around £700 just for this controller and Traktor yet all they've sent me is a microsoft knowledge base link from 2015.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. They not bothered by these issues we are facing with their software.
The X1 MK3 has been getting so much more attention. They wont be commenting on any of the threads we as the users create requesting support service from them.

Yeah guess you only find that out when something goes wrong though it's been relatively smooth sailing previously!
