    This one was good 😂👍🏼

But even a pile of printed papers for every time users requested “could we have more than 4 inputs in Maschine?” could easily reach 3 meters (this and also many others requests…)

Well…3 meters would even be a underestimated number…probably it would be more in the order of “Amazonia is risking to disappear”

I wasn't so bent out of shape about what happened to Kore - to me, it was a very bold decision to realize that the direction they were going was not panning out - KK/Maschine are much better than Kore was or could ever be, IMO..

The problem is what's going on now, where NOTHING seems to be happening (at least publicly). If tomorrow they made an announcement that Maschine was being discontinued and replaced with a better more flexible hardware/software platform, I'd be thrilled.. it'd be way better than whatever you call this..

So. There is still hope. Back to waiting (again).

Let me chime in if you please. Since MK1 NI has promised then not delivered. Then promised and not delivered then promised again and when they delivered they delivered with a rewrite of the software that damn near wiped everyone's project to oblivion.. the user got over that and NI disappeared. Then came out with an message to everyone they where going to be transparent and blah blah blah.. When they do deliver it's never what the end user simply asks for. I remember before the KK was even a thing we begged for a keyboard with pads. Nope we got the micro. then mk2 then mk studio then KK with no pads and.... we asked for time stretching that would be as simple as the antiquated way of sampling. Like every daw on the market and they gave us what we have, work arounds. Lol. I accept maschine for what it does but true interaction from them... laughable. But hey they deliver great sounds and they've joined forces with other software developers to give us sounds. They are definitely not in the league of say, Apple.

With respect to the 'keyboard with pads' then I understand why you would write that , and prior to buying my first N.I. K.K. keyboard then I were looking at keyboards with built in pads too and thought gee how nice I'd like one of those !

However after buying my Konplete Kontrol S61 and tried using it then I am really happy that I do not have to deal with that everything in sight also doubles as something to control pad play or that that the keyboard had to be that much bigger. Also , I think that you do not see what can of worms it would be for N.I. in general to put pads on their keyboards. As soon as they have started doing so then there will be an almost endless stream of new complaints why it is limited to this and that and not exactly like , say Maschine+ , or something like that....

I do not have the money to dig deep enough into the Maschine unviverse so I really do not know that product line other than peripherally and there is most likely room for lots of improvements (?) and they could even come up with a new Maschine one of these days. But personally then I like the idea of Maschine to be a separate product with great connectivity (?) rather than something crowding my 'midi Master Keyboard' layout !

As for which 'league' N.I. are in then sure they are not 'Apple' but if they manage and develop their product portfolio well plus keep product quality of both software AND hardware very high then I think that N.I. could see tremendous growth over time. N.I: surely have the potential , question is only if the company will be managed well enough or if what we are going to see will be a another 'cash grab' attempt by present owners aimed at grabbing cash and inflating value to sell company afterwards to another buyer. (A company like N.I. ought to be owned and lead by visionaries that also understand business concepts rather than only that)(no intend of implying anything about present ownership but merely just 'saying')

however they are trained to not engage in general discussions that aren’t positive towards the company so never comment when people don’t like something about NI.

    Haha?

@D-One as concerns listening and surveys, I remember NI's big Maschine survey which cruelly spiked my excitement and curiosity followed by disappointment - but there's still a chance for being surprised.

I assumed they were prepping a new hardware product to sell by fall. So tf what tho?

HOW ABOUT FIX THE POO WE’VE ALREADY BOUGHT AND RELEASE STABLE UPDATES?

    Just a thought.

Personally I don’t care what they’re making. If it isn’t a huge update/upgrade to the Maschine Software that adds high res graphics, better sampling and addresses many of the things the user community has been asking for for years than it’s the same ol NI…. Thanks for spending cash, no we don’t gaf about how you feel about how unfinished it is, no we’re not gonna fix it, actually…we’re gonna kill it after you buy hella sounds for it but here…buy this new overpriced and underpowered maschine.

    Hard pass.

He has been trying for almost 2 months to find out what is planned for Maschine and Maschine Plus - no answer. Maschine Plus is already in better shape than at the beginning, but here work and refinement of the whole thing is still needed - especially stability. I even started such a thread:

    https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/14411/q-a-with-maschine-maschine-plus-team#latest

However, it remained unanswered. Why does Traktor have a roadmap and Maschine does not?

Exactly because Traktor HAS a roadmap and Maschine HAS none (it’s not just a matter of it not being published…it doesn’t exist…)

NI cit: “Maschine is NOT a priority atm” (which collides exactly with what I think. I would just remove the “atm”)

    This!

If this "Something Big" isn't about a BIG Maschine software update... I DON'T CARE what it is.

Did someone at Native Instruments really say this? Was this said recently?

Road more Komplete Kontrol is far less than any other major piece of NI's environment.

It is so fundamentally to the function of their hardware keyboards.. amazing that it gets so much neglect and lack of information.

Roadmap for KK?... it's a unkept trail in the woods, covered with fallen trees.

It's clear there's only a handful of software engineers at NI. It's expensive to have a big team of them, too expensive for the income coming in for the products. There probably is no dedicated Maschine engineer at all, so the small team just moves from product to product as a strike team.. and Kontakt was the priority lately.. or whatever..

It's unclear what's happening with Native Instruments currently. They recently rebranded their logo, and their Twitter account seems inactive. While some new instruments and expansions have been released, there's no clear update on hardware or Maschine. We'll have to wait for official announcements for more information.
