So I was wondering if I can buy the KOMPLETE KONTROL M32 & KOMPLETE 14 ULTIMATE bundle from the summer sale for $638.50, and then be able to upgrade it from Ultimate to Collectors Edition for $300 after buying the bundle. Anyone know if this is how it works?

I am considering updating from Komplete Standard 11.

I was wondering whether I am going to lose anything that was included in the old Bundle. Wouldn't be the first time a new version suddenly lacks stuff (remember Windows 11 Update?).

I am also worried about backward compatitiblity. Mainly with Kontakt, as this is supposed to have a completetely different library. Are the old libraries still included, or can they be used from a technical and licensing point of view? And has the general format of instruments etc. changed, or can I use everything I have used with Version 11?

BTW, when I did my previous update, I realised that all the VSTs names had changed (as they include the version number), and of course in my DAWs project files there were still the old names so I had to switch manually to the new ones. In the process, I lost all the settings I had made to the instance of the old VST. I even resorted to mucking aound in the project files with a Hex editor to change to the new VST name (which, surprisingly, worked in most cases). WIll this problem still exist with this update?

I have a few questions about updating/upgrading and I'm hoping you can help please.

1. Firstly, what's the difference between and upgrade and an update?
2. I currently own Komplete 10 Ultimate and I would like to buy Komplete 14 Ultimate. The NI website says the download for K14 Ultimate is 680GB, but I already own many of those products already with K10 Ultimate. Is there any way I can work out how much disc space I will need to install the new instruments and effects?
3. When I click on the 'what's new for me?' page, many of the products are repeated multiple times. Are they different versions of those products, or are they graphical duplicates/bugs?
4. It says the system requirements for Mac are macOS 10.15, 11 or 12. Are none of these products supported on macOS 13?

meanwhile i got what feels like 50 emails praising this sale from all sides. somehow I feel a bit spammed. that was always the case with izotope & plugin allianz products, now that they're all under one roof, it's really too much. would hardly ever consider buying one of this products at full price. discount battles every few weeks. too much in my opinion. this reduces the value of the goods. just my 2 cents.

I can't complete my purchase of KU:CC update, Stripe hates my credit card and spits out a false "incorrect zip" error.

Bank gets charged, invoice is generated in my NI account as "order created", then gets changed to "canceled" and the pending bank charge disappears all in about 40 mins.

If you already own Komplete 14 Ultimate, you should definitely be eligible for a crossgrade. Please ignore that message on our website. Seems to be a glitch. Sorry for the confusion.

If you buy an upgrade from a retailer, you don't need to wait for NI to process your order. You can just add a serial on Native Access and everything is good to go.

Speaking of NA, over time some product updates will not be available in the older version of NA any more so best to switch to the new (dark) version when you can. :)

That's correct! Just make sure you register K14 Ultimate first before registering K14 Collector's Edition.

Hi 👋

1. Update is when you buy a newer version of Komplete, but stay on the same 'tier'. For example, K13 Standard --> K14 Standard. Upgrade is when you buy a higher tier of Komplete, for example, K13 Standard or K14 Standard --> K14 Ultimate.
2. I asked the Komplete Product Manager for you and he said a rough estimate would be 600GB.
3. The products on the "what's new" page are populated based on all the base products you own so if you see duplicates, just ignore them.
4. Some products are still not officially compatible with Ventura, but we have plenty of users running Komplete 14 on their Ventura system without any issues.

Hi, you won't lose any licenses that you already own from the older Komplete bundle. 🙂 As for Kontakt, Kontakt 7 that's included in K14 is a separate plugin so you can still run the older version (I guess Kontakt 5?) alongside Kontakt 7 with no issues.

But that also means Kontakt 7 will not automatically replace instances of Kontakt 5 in your old projects. If you want to migrate, you'll have to switch manually the same way you did with the previous update. In the process, you'll have to check which instrument and settings are applied on your Kontakt 5 channels and apply these settings to Kontakt 7...
