Why do paths ie relocate, not respect drive mappings?

I have a couple of daws...studio/live etc

Each one has identical library structures and I original set up a mapped drive (w10) called "L" for libraries, so you could simply store the lib anywhere and each machine would point to the top destination with the mapping

Seems I was wrong...When I go to relocate, it ignores the mapped L drive and only shows me hardwire maps

Why is this?

    Hi Mark, am I understanding that by default the finder/explorer opens the window for the default paths that NA2 establishes instead of the L drive location that you have mapped it to?
