An error occured while processing your serial?

I just bought a new Komplete Kontrol S88 MK2 from Thomann but the activation always fails with "An error occured while processing your serial number"?
What is happening here? I've already opened a support case, but maybe someone here has a tip how to fix that quickly.
Paying a big chunk of money for a product and not even being able to use it properly because the bundled libraries are missing is a pretty bad customer experience.

Try to install a previous version of NA to see if things get better
