imho it happens with every product that they develop. I got so much pushback and condescension about adding tempo automation to Maschine, and was told that it either wasn't a "necessary feature" or that it was too hard to implement and that I didn't know what I was asking for. It took a concentrated effort of like two years for someone to get the message and implement that feature in Maschine 3. They think that because nobody mentions XYZ feature on their surveys, that those features don't matter…and it's like you said, they seemingly just don't use common sense to interpret their data (or the feedback that they get on forums).

Unfortunately, the new July 2025 post from your Director of Product and Technology at NATIVE INSTRUMENT lacks any information about new updates for TRAKTOR. This is disappointing for the community, which has been waiting for the latest news and improvements for a long time. Instead, we receive only general statements without specifics, which creates the feeling that developers ignore user requests and do not attach due importance to the development of the platform. We hope that in the next updates, the company will pay more attention to transparency and communication with the community in order to regain trust and interest in the product.

“Lastly, we are modernising several of our classic Reaktor synths as well as building some new ones, and all of these will be hosted as individual plugins in the DAW.”

Super 8 was a Reaktor synth that became an individual plugin that then went back to being a Reaktor synth, is it going to become an individual plugin again?

There’s still nothing to see in the synth department but if you actually deliver with these promises and improve them I’ll be happy, it’ll be the first positive development from you in years. A Massive X player doesn’t count.

Think many have moved to other vendors like Arturia for a reason, NI are stretched too thin resulting in a lot of aging software in each Komplete bundle release cycle.

Even if the old synths are updated it does not make me excited - more nice to have, and it is more expected for older synths to get a facelift now and then (although it should not take this much time for it to happen).

About NI synths I only have Massive and Massive X from NI in my current template (more out of habit), the others are mostly Arturia synth alternatives (which I actually use more).

NI will likely release some brand new synth products though this fall (probably with some AI features) - so we will see if it will gain any traction.

The MIDI CC game needs to be way better, both within Kontakt 8 and other NI products. NKS is a nice control layer but we still need working MIDI CC assign as the base layer on modern plugins for custom solutions.

    • I don't care about this Player view for Massive X. Who actually asked for this? I feel like you guys are trolling us with this synth. MIDI learn? Parameters for the DAW? A preset system that's actually good? Being able to open a preset with A SINGLE CLICK? Will we ever get these?

I dont understand arturia partnership at all.. nks in komplete kontrol software is dog slow.. analog V Lab software is lightning fast and works flawless with the hardware

I guess there are really people who asked for a Massive X Player…

Difficult for me to grasp as well. this synth needs everything but a Player.

Guess that's what happens with all those social media freaks having a say on future features.

One of the biggest complaints about Massive X is that the default view is too complex for most to get started. If we're honest, it looks like it was developed in reaktor before VST, which it probably was - there's far nicer interfaces. Chose any synth, and the interface is likely more welcoming.

For @chk071 I think there might be a missunderstanding here - I don't think NI are building a Massive X player, but and updated interface. Think Analog Lab Play view, to make the synth introductions and sound design easier.

I may be wrong, but I would expect that, given the general feedback in the Massive X forum, and across other forums.

And I agree on Midi CC, preset management etc - I would be amazed if this update did not include requested features. It woul just be abother stick to hit NI with.

So I contend that both @Vocalpoint and @PK The DJ are AI bots

They both support the idea that NI is AOK on all levels, and are unrelenting in their assertation that NI is just fine. Just look at this thread. They are programed only to push sales!

Please look at all things internet, because it seems like they are only looking at this with rose colored AI bot glasses.

Wow - my first "bot" badge! Woohoo!

But i do have to ask - what "sales" am I pushing? I did ask about feature parity for KKv3 on Page 1 and a quick postulation on the overall size of the NI userbase on Page 2 - but if that's "pushing" anything - like Wow!

NI is most certainly not "OK" on all levels - but for those levels I need from them - they work just fine.

I'm afraid Scoops is wrong. My glasses have clear lenses. 😂

Scoops, maybe read my posts in → this thread ← then reconsider your assessment.

There are still bugs that were introduced with TP4 almost a year ago, only some of which were fixed with the last update...... surely you can provide us with an update on that, it should not be a secret.

Sorry to say but the last perfectly functioning version of tractor was Traktor Pro Plus.....

Yes, I didn't mean that they develop a separate plugin called "Massive X Player". Still, I think there are much more pressing issues than to make Massive X a preset player.
