Using a KKA49 with Logic Pro, the sustain pedal works fine on many pianos (Kontakt stock, the Gentleman, Spitfire and Soundpaint) but not on Alt piano and two that I recently downloaded from piano book. The incoming midi messages show CC64 127 (down) and 0 (up) but never sustains. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance:-)

I just tried a piano book vst on the Decent Sampler and also had no sustain so….it is not just a Kontakt issue.

Have you tried different settings of Instrument Options (or Gear icon)>Controller>cc#64?

Thank you Stephen24. I checked the options - it was set the same as the other Kontakt instruments that are responding properly (the Gentleman, Jazz Piano Freebie, etc.). On further investigation I discovered that the sustain pedal on the Alt piano and the Woodland piano (from PianoBook) work fine in Dorico and Studio One - but not in Logic Pro.

Thanks. I rechecked the pedal configuration - unfortunately it was correct. Still searching and trying-pedal for Alt piano works fine in Studio One but not in Logic. The blessing is that most sample work fine in Logic.

All suggestions appreciated. Two additional observations - (1) I tried the offending samples and the pedal sustained on all of them - I had updated Logic and Sonoma so I thought maybe it was cured.(2)Today, the problem returned but I noticed that when I played the virtual keyboard in Kontakt, the pedal worked fine with it:-)

As far as I know, it could be an issue of the pedal having inverted settings and therefore not reading the input.
