force Native Access to install from hard drive?

Komplete 11. Kontakt 5. No plans to upgrade. Foolishly clicked upgrade on The Giant. Now I have a version that requires Kontakt 7. Tried un / re install but same result. Is there some way for a dummy to convince NA to use the original install media? (I did connect it before the attempt.)

Native Access will always download the latest available update. You can, however, try downloading an older version from here:
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/account/downloads/
(That page is a new feature - albeit still a bit WIP, as explained by Jeremy_NI here.)

Unfortunately no.
Couple options.First check the Kontakt forum for a pinned article on downloading previous V6 Kontakt libraries.
Second - some new discussions just in the last 10 days indicate that everyone can now download offline installers for all their products. See here for more :

If for whatever reason that you need a manual download link for something which, like in this case, appear to not be for download on neither the Previous versions of recently updated Kontakt libraries / compatibility with K6 older libraries page nor the Account downloads page then you need to contact installation Support.
Please contact N.I. Support (all)

I really appreciate the helpful responses. I was able to install a functional version of The_Giant. Thanks to all!
As a side note; I've been treating the portable hard drive that came with the komplete 11 upgrade as if it were the family jewels, or maybe a bitcoin wallet. I guess at this point it is more closely akin to a paperweight?
- Note to self: Read the release notes dummy
- Note to self: In fact, just ignore the upgrades
Edit: In a previous version of the post I mentioned hybrid keys. Looks like that was a gift that might have been useful had I upgraded to Kontakt 6. Not part of Komplete 11.

Yep. Everything is now online and there is little need for those old school drives any more.
Espeically when a new modern NVMe drive is light years faster. You are better off to install a 2TB NVMe , point Native Access to it and then fill it up.

Thanks again to everyone. One quasi-coda: When I browsed the install drive yesterday, I just saw 47 files with long random filenames in the data directory. I assumed they were useless without (the old version of) Native Access. Today I notice that each of those is a .iso file. One I mounted at random had "Reactor 6 blah blah windows.exe" in the root directory. So my guess (not confirmed) is that I could have mounted them in sequence until I found the one containing the Giant installer.
The drive also had some version of "Native Access Windows Installer.exe" in the root directory. So that might have been yet another approach (albeit the least elegant of them all).
