Hello,

Brand new to Maschine (software) and music production as a whole. I purchased the Micro Mk3. As a complete beginner I'm trying to find some good starter tutorials beyond the very quick hit YouTube videos I've found. Does anyone know if NI has any good tutorials that cover the software in greater detail? I've managed to make some beats with my Micro, but trying to better navigate the interface and understand the menus. I'm a very visual learner so reading the manuals is not working for me as I don't understand the interface yet. I'm coming from Logic Pro and it's a completely different animal that doesn't make sense to me yet. Thanks for any help you can provide.

When you say "YouTube videos" are you referring to the Native Instruments channel?

You should watch the "How to use everything" videos hosted by Boris from NI. He uses the full size Maschine but the content regarding the software still applies.

Try to get the most up to date videos you can, old ones may confuse you, things get removed a lot in Maschine world, for example watch an old video of Maschine 2 software and how to change pattern length, then scratch your head for an hour because it has settings that are no longer available (who knows why) in the current Maschine 2/3

Thank you! I searched on YT and finding software specific videos was harder than I thought. Since the controller and software share the same name I kept getting results for the standalone Hardware.

The suggested quick start videos were all I could find. I can get the mikro up and running but how to navigate the menus, panels, etc., while composing is challenging.

Thank you Jeremy for the link. I searched high and low on the NI sites and never found much beyond catalogs selling me equipment and these forums. The NI site leaves a lot to be desired for links to videos for beginners.
