The mod changes the qml files that define the basic x1mk3 functions. They are loaded together with every x1mk3 tsi mapping file. You can find the qml files (for all NI devices and some others as well) in the qml subfolder. To use a qml mod, you have to replace some of the original files with the modified files. Instructions on how to do this are in the same post (post#1) that also features the download links.

'Overmapping' means that you open (select from device dropdown) the tsi mapping file on the controller manager page (Preferences) for the x1mk3 and create assignments which override the qml code for the relevant knobs, buttons and LEDs. There is also a 'override' box. If left unchecked, both the original function and any new assignments for the same controls will be triggered at the same time, so always check the 'override' box.

The X1Mk2 (and mappings for it) work the same way, except the underlying basic functions are not accessible and so can't be modified. But overmapping works just the same, like the mapping file you linked to.

Get back to us with your progress. Maybe you can upload your working TSI for other users looking for help.

Hey ho, the second X1 MK2 came yesterday and I did some mapping.

    First X1: Deck A & B
    Second X1: Deck C & D

Muting Stems with effect on/of buttons and volumne with the knobs.

One little thing that I could figure out, when I load a track into a deck the first time, the lights of the effect on/off buttons dont light up, I have to trigger every button to light up the right way, is there a way to change this?

Try adding the modifier condition 'deck is loaded' to every mute button, in particular the LEDs. You can also add 'deck type = stem'.

I could find "deck is loaded" or the deck-type. Where is this option?

And another thing, when I turn the browse knob fast, it scrolls in whider steps, can I adjust this?

I was mistaken about 'load' condition. But deck type (flavor) can be found here:

    You can't adjust encoder responsiveness.

Ok, thanks, but what does the "Deck flavor" actually do?

Deck flavor is the same as deck type, so whether it’s a track deck, remix deck, live input, etc.

Thanks, but its not really working so good, at first it worked but turning off Traktor and unpluging the controller I have to trigger the buttons that they light up, the mute function is working but it only lights up at the first time.

Check the box 'inverted' for the output assignments (shown in your picture). This will reverse the ON/OFF LED feedback. Maybe this will help. I don't own a Mk2 so i can't really test anything.
